  1. this would be a fairly simple conversion using the JTR engine mounting kit. Buy the JTR swap manual, tons of info in the book, as on this site. The almighty search button is most useful. It would be good idea to utilize the stock 280Z rear diff, as the Caprice rear would be a b**ch to install, not to mention not being much stronger that 200R rear diff. Anyway, good luck on the swap.
  2. Clive, where do you get all this good luck from? I am tempted to make the drive from Denver just to shake hands with you and hope some of the luck rubs off on me. My second Z, a 73', was the same color as your 260, mine didn't have any hubcaps either. I drove the crap out of that car, paid $300 sold for $200. It was not as nice as yours, but seeing your pics brought back alot of memories. I wish I could afford to buy yours when you are ready to sell. Anyway, good luck!
  3. All I want is a way to get my Z from Louisiana to Denver, and a place to put it.
  4. I like the way your engine mount/crossmember turned out, it looks strong. Maybe you can call it an "H" member?
  5. Hmmmmmmm.............. an aluminum boat anchor, how cute. I don't mean to offend any L6 fans, it's just my poor attempt at being funny.
  6. Where's the lube...........The crook says, I never should have messed with the Doc!
  7. She's a "beaut" Clark! Seriously, I can't wait to see it when finished. Good luck.
  8. I don't have a video camera, but it you guys want more pics, I can do that. What do you want shots of? Pics of long smokey burnouts, the Z launching, and of course engine pics are always nice.
  9. I think the dash looks great in there. Make sure to post progress pics, as I am sure there will be losts of interest. Good luck.
  10. Anyone remember the Monster Garage episode where they built a twin engine Jeep tractor puller "thing"? IIRC the adapter between the two engine seemed to be fairly simple.
  11. They have any of that spotted spray paint? Or maybe a sky hook?
  12. I did totally disassemble the print head/ink duct assembly. I cleaned the print head the best I could with rubbing alcohol/q-tips, soaked the "ink ducts" in alcohol for 2 days, cleaned all the gold contacts. The cartridges were recently refilled, so I didn't think that would be the issue, but maybe the lack of use has taken its toll on the ink. Maybe the refill place can test them for flow. Thanks for the ideas guys.
  13. I have an EPSON stylus CX5400 printer for my home computer. It won't print at all. I think it fails from lack of use. I replaced the ink packs, nothing. I disassembled and cleaned the printing head and the "ink ducts" from the packs to the head, and still nothing. I ran the printer through several head cleanings and nozzle test patterns, nothing still. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions? Thanks in advance. jbk240z
  14. Congrats to you and Bryce. Looks like a fine specimen.
  15. Your garage/basement is very cool indeed! Very nice projects too. I still want to invite myself over sometime to check out your Z and other projects too. Take care man, and get that Z going!
  16. Your Z is very nice indeed! Great color choice!
  17. Seeing this Z is just as bad as seeing Rosanne Barr naked, eeeewwwwwwwww.....................
  18. Wow, that is a crazy bug. I would not mind building one with a turbo Buick V6, ala grand national. Crazy indeed!
