  1. I like it, but the mesh needs to be removeable so the trim could be colr matched, OR, have silver mesh with diamond like holes versus round holes. Otherwise they look pretty good. My .02.
  2. Perry where is your gallery, I can't find it?
  3. True, I am part of a that whole new generation of Japanese "hot rods". I simply want to recreate the best of two worlds in one awesome car. The modern era(flashy bodykits, big wheels, low stance, low tone mufflers) and the era of muscle cars (all motor, torque baby torque, wide aggressive stance) can't really think of an other special characteristics of muscle cars at the moment. Kinda of un equal but I think the theme fits right. Its a dream car, one that pleases all, well sorta on small level.
  4. Now thats awesome. See how the door "bleeds into the rear quarter, just sexah. Only probleem is the rear flare is a wee bit to boxy and the front end limits the air going into the engine (great aero dynamics though). That rear wing appears to hand 2+ feet off the rear of the car. I'm going to save to my documents for further reference if thats okay. Also I like how the front fender is flared. ONly problem there to me is that is starts in the door also. Not what I like. That area in front os the door is where the front flare should be gradually introduced. Simply awesome. Also the nice thing about having a 2+2 is that you get like 4" more area to introduce the rear flare. I have a very active imagination. That side skirt is awesome, similar to what I'd like to do.Thanks for posting this pic.
  5. Its all been said, I agree though post a side shot of the car.
  6. very nice, now all I have to do is get a 5 lug hub for my 280zx, but the m brakes on and well.........do the whole car. Nice work, I'm liking the tires. True though from a standing up perpective they would look wider under there. Very common with hondas. They'll sit so low that they 205's look like 275's. Weird but true, the lower the car the wider the tires appear.
  7. Nice pics RacerX. I see that you like to make wheel wells kinda boxy, unlike my style large tire "hugging" upside down "U". You have some nice skills with metal. ONe thing that is bugging me. (I should probably search first but oh well). How are urethane bodykits made? I took an drafting class in 10th grade and an architectural class in 11th and finally a Computter graphics and 3D animation class senior year of high school. We didn't do much hand drawing mostly all computer stuff. My drawing skills come from My three years of art classes in high school along with obviously natural talent, sorry to brag. Yours is really nice. I need more practice with color. I'll have to try to draw my design of my car in black and white (much easier to shade an show the details you want. I'll have to see if my community college or local UNIV. has a bodyshop class. Seems like a good investment (no duh) thus I'll know just a little more to help achieve my goals. I start college this year. (i'm fresh outta high school). Thanks again for the pics, very different. I'm pondering the idea of an intake in the rear fender for the brakes, I just don't want to ruin the nice line that a flared fender would create by putting a big hole in it.
  8. whoa almost 200 views, what do all you people think of the design in 3D? Or does it just not appeal to you most of you guys/girls (if there are any on this site)?
  9. know of any other awesome 280ZX's? I like your Avatar. Did you draw that? IF so that would be an awesome design for the 240Z/260Z/280Z.
  10. lookin good. Nice website. Can't wait to see updates, now if I just knew how or where to even start to get my bodywork done. See pics below. The only problem with doing my project is A)funds, gotta conserve for college, more important than the cars looks. a lottta custom stuff will be needed to get started (i.e. custom huge wheels, custom 5 lug hubs etc.) I just have to be patient. You WILL be turning heads with that Z.
  11. Diddo, I left gotz because they'd talk trash to everyone. I too was brought up to respect people regardless of age and whatnot. The moderators and admins here do an awesome job. I too will watch when I on the forum that no one bad mouths people or posts innappropriate things (drives me nuts) (not to mention its embarassing when other people se it). I'm here to talk cars PERIOD. The other people can take there trash somewhere else. This site has offered me more positive feedback than any of the other forums I've tried. Keep up the good work, I'll remain a peaceful considerate helpful member. Thanks everyone who watchs this forum, I have utmost respect for your doings.
  12. thanks for the pics, paul newmans styling (black/white) Z, is kinda like what i'm aiming for.
  13. thanks for the compliments, each drawing i do is a little better than the previous one. Probably won't be long and i'll draw another rendering of the deisgn and it'll look even better.
  14. No doubt Dorifto. Thanks for the comments everyone. Next clay model like i said will be much bigger to get the details in.
  15. yea man this kit I designed is for the 2+2. I have a 1979 2+2. NO doubt about the stereo. I have a concept fot that too. See below. . This stereo and this bodykit=awesome I think. The stereo is bound to be redesigned to work with a chromoly cage. Thanks for the replies guys.
  16. Here are pics of my design (the last two pics) made into a clay mini model Tell what you think now. The detail stuff was out. The model you see is about four inches long, 2inches wide and about an 1" tall. Hopefully the next one will be at least 8" long or more. That way the details can be stressed. Thanks in advance for looking at my design.
  17. very nice, I bow to you for one nice z
  18. ok I'll take your word for it plus motorsport said the same thing. If they don't leak forget sending then back. I'll try tonight again to see if they leak. Cross your fingers. So you don't need a washer like the OEM ones did?
  19. Mine don't fit. The threads are too long even with a washer. What's wrong or did I do something wrong. I have a 79 280 ZX
  20. okay to be more specific. I would want the L28 engine cast in aluminum. Twin tuboed, intercooled. Head work would be extensive, mild cam. HP goals in the 500-600 range. Improved cooling system, new chassis work, aluminum driveshaft and axles, aluminum control arms, underbody diffusers, all customized interior.....and thats just a smidge of what i'd want.
  21. okay 4x114.3mm to be exact. I wasn't sure -exactly- if they were that number(110mm). I was thinking that it might (4.5" be a general number but not exact). I guess if someone makes that offset (114.3mm=4.5" by four lugs) that would be the perfect one. My fault, i checked discount tires website and it indeed says 114.3=4.5". This is the last time i'll make this mistake. I'm glad someone caught that mistake, I've got learn to trust my math.
  22. first off the Armada has independent rear suspension. My parts department here at my Nissan Dealership doesn't even know. Sorry about that. My guess and there guess is that its bigger than an R230.
  23. 4x110 (aka 4"x4.5") is the proper one for 280zx. 4x100 would be honda offset.
