  1. wow. if only i lived in florida...
  2. i've always been a chevy man, but when i saw that car, i had to change my pants
  3. well i'm buying an n42 head for over $400, if that says anything lol granted it had cam & valvetrain
  4. would definitely need the black panel between the lights to look uber nice. i don't like how they go down on the inside
  5. no matter what type of wiring you used, the DESIGN of the harness is definitely not ideal. the headlight relay upgrade is a GREAT investment. Dave (Zs-ondabrain) over at classiczcars.com makes an AWESOME headlight relay upgrade: http://classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20365
  6. that was hilarious my input: mu buddy is putting a hi comp "small port" 4AGE in his AE86 and is using the OEM FWD intake manifold. BUT he had the front and back cut and welded on the opposite sides so he can use it in he RWD application. granted this is going to be in an autoX only car so it doesn't need to be street legal. but the questions are really how stock you can make it look and how critical is the ref.
  7. only thing i can think of that I changed is the cut/bent rear fender lips so that my tires quit rubbing!
  8. nice chevy II (i noticed it was a '68 !
  9. ^wow jon, thanks for those links! as i was reading this i was coming up with hypotheses to see what could cause it. it was cool to find out one was right! lol
  10. you can get new toyota 4x4 calipers from autozone for 75+66 core. i'm going to try to turn in the Z calipers, since they're worth $95 core
  11. how about industrial liquidators?
  12. haha, i suppose i could take it upon myself to do so... take a look at the website, find me some skus, and i'll buy and ship! but don't overwhelm me, or else i might never get the Z done
  13. ^hahah, i lol'ed when i saw the antique plate, too anyway, terry's car is awesome; if you do decide to do a diffuser/vent; make sure it's straight and experiment with different materials for the grille
  14. radioshack! too bad you're on the other side of the country; otherwise i'd say "stop in and get 30% off!"
  15. and it wouldn't take long for water to accumulate ions by flowing through vrious metals, either
  16. same engine from the DP1 and the atom, referenced from dpcars.net as posted in the mclaren thread
  17. ya, 220-250 hp in a car that weighs about a metric ton(ne) is pretty nice. not to be taken lightly!
  18. <-- big fan of yamaha motors. i almost bought an SHO, but then i couldn't see myself driving a taurus lol
  19. i'm HOPING it was just the head/head gasket that blew, but on classiczcars someone found out that the cylinder wall had a 3" crack in it, so i'm taking a "worst case scenario" although even if my block is fine, i would still trade across
  20. ^correct. except for the fact that the question isn't the weight of the VG30ET, it's for the VG30DETT. the extra cams and associated valvetrain would add a bit to the weight. and i'm willing to bet that this is just for the VG30E block and head.
