  2. I have gForce Sports on the back of the Cobra and I love them. I had 711s on my CRX and they were a decent tire for the price but not too good when I autocrossed them.

  4. The oil pumps had a tendency to fail after 80k miles in the pre-2000 LS1s.
  5. This is one hell of a post... I was already aware of the majority of the information, but reading it again always helps.
  6. Did David Weber die? We cant get through to Malvern and I read somewhere that he died. Can anyone confirm this?
  7. PLEASE take pics man.... I have a Z car with no motor... but I just dont have a Modular motor sitting around that I can test fit.
  8. The thickest part of the motor will fit in between the strut towers on the Z, but I dont think anyone would EVER be able to get any sort of exhaust manifolds to work. When I pull the motor out of my cobra, I may have to drop it in the Z to actualy eyeball the fitmen.
  9. I wind my DOHC 4.6 to 7k all the time... It has over 130k miles on it.... 60k of which have been supercharged. There is nothing wrong with the new modular motors. I even have a big bore 5.0 in the works, aiming at 600whp. The modular motors are getting cheaper, and with a bit of dsplacment, they are very sick motors.

  17. I think the 98/99s also had oil pump issues. Just some info I had somewhere in the back of my brain... I dont know much more than that.
  18. Yur going to need bigger than 225 rubber I dont know if 235 will fit, but You may want to star tthinking about fender flares.
  19. Which Tim I agree, I was just simply stating a different option from the OEM relays, which you seem to be having problems with. Could it be a possible problem with your wiring? I’ve never put an LS1 in a Z car so I don’t know what wiring is involveed.
  20. Alot of camaro/TA guy bypass the PCM controlled fans to run manual fan switches. Granted when they do this they are satill using the same realy, but if someone were to want to control your fan manualy and is havving issues with the factory (in this case GM) relay, then why not replace the weak link?
  21. Can you not reprogram the PCM to eliminate the fans, purchase a slim fan "kit" with relay, and run a manual fan switch? Hell, I think you can even have aftermarket fans come on at certain temps now a days.
  22. Yea man... I look forward to seeing that car progress from what it was. I can’t wait for the day my Cobra is paid off and I get to purchase and hybrid a Z car. Until then I guess I’m stuck with the near stock l28 in the "racecar" we have.
