  1. I wished you lived by me so we could give the out of the hole stop light to stop light a try. we come out of the hole at 6K and there is no lagging period.
  2. Dang, I just actually saw this post. I put the trap speed and car weight because I was getting alot of emails wanting that information so I finally just put it in the sig on here recently and zcar.com has had the times on there for a long time. even though we have vidoes up on my site with a 12 second run, people still dont believe it. i wish i had the camera with me on the faster runs. Rebello dyno'd us at 313 and that was before a big jetting change on the chassis dyno afterwards netting us an additionals 12 rwhp. dyno to dyno on different days/different operators will net you way different numbers also. after several weeks of dyno runs i came to the conclusion the hp dont mean crap. the dyno is just a tuning tool or for some people bragging rights. my son has raced pretty much everything around here and nothings beat him on the street yet. he stays neck and neck with me and my Z06 also. his launches are increadible on the street and he jumps 2-3 cars out in front on everyone.
  3. If you can get the car on a dyno that will answer the question on the air resistance question and also show you exactly what is going on with A/F and jetting. took us a couple hours of dyno tuning to get our jetting down and set.
  4. My riding lawn mower has one on it...i never realized how rare my mower was!
  5. Nice sound! video of our 3.2 stroker in our link.
  6. save your $$$ and spend it on something else. Ever seen what happens when a piece or pieces of the coating comes off inside an engine? No thanks!
  7. Triple Mikunis are not hard to jet. 1 trip to the dyno and an hour later they should be jetted just fine and never need another adjustment. I can change out my jets on all 3 carbs in 5 minutes if need be for a severe temperature change, but so far in the last year they have remained unchanged.
  8. Something is definatly amisss there with 5-6 mpg. We get double then some at least. make a hard run and pull a plug without driving it even a couple seconds. just pull over and yank the plugs. Better yet pay $65 bucks for a pull on a dymo and see exactly where you are at.
  9. Someone up up above commented it aint a wimpy 5.7 liter as the older Z06's had... My wimpy stock 5.7 Z06 runs 11.90's....LOL
  10. We are upgrading to a turbo and will be running approx 9.3:1 compression with a 2mm head gasket. We plan on 550 hp with 115 octane racing gas (I know you are looking at pump gas only though). We have too much money in our J&E pistons and Carillo forged rods to change them out so we are going with the same stroker 3.2 and just adding the turbo electronics and mechanicals to it.
  11. Personally our 3.2 was well worth the effort and cost. love mid 12's and the sound of triple carbs with out the sound of a bov. if you got the money go for it.
  12. Hey I think I might know that guy thats gonna turbo his 3.2 Rebello high compression engine! We will be pushing 500+ hp with it with less that 12 psi
  13. We will be selling our Mikuni 44 phh triples setup early next year when we do our turbo upgrade. Dont know a price yet, but it will include the carbs, TWM intake drilled for nitrous nozzles, linkage, air horns and K&N filters and extra set of jets. These things scream and have never had to re-tune them in over 8K miles.
  14. We are mocking up our 500+ hp turbo upgrade right now to replace our triple Mikuni's. Our 330 HP NA just isnt enough!
  15. I have been looking for racing seats for my son and I with little luck because of our sizes (6'1" 260 , and 6'3" 280 both 42" waist). only 1 so far looks close and comfortable the Corbeau VX2000 i think it was.
  16. We are using the 3.2 stroker we have in their now and will change the oil pan, drop the compression a bit, change the cam and just upgrade the rest to the turbo pieces as needed. deep six the dizzy and go with coil packs and probably either Haltech or Electromotive TEC3R.
  17. We are beginning our turbo project (expected 500+ hp) for our 240z and I have found a couple places that make custom intakes (Rebello, Lone Wolf and SFP can make them and Pallnet has some parts available as well we will be using), and a few places that have custom header exhausts also. I am not sure if SFP is still in business though as their website says closed on the products side. We are looking for any others besides the above mentioned companies or individuals out there that might do custom intakes for a turbo setup & also a custom turbo header to see what all of our options are. The stock turbo intake/exhaust manifold isnt gonna support our wanted HP. Getting all the parts together right now and hoping to have it done early next year. And if anyone is interested our triple Mikuni's/intake will be for sale later this year (wont be cheap) or early next year off our current engine. Thanks
  18. i just wired our fan up to a toggle switch. i did not want it controlled by a thermostat at all. we very rarely even need to have the fan on, but half the thermostats out there are garbage and i have had a few fail.
  19. damn how did i miss that auction!!!!!
  20. Yes that is an option. I was kinda looking for the 4.37 ratio from the motorsport trucks, but im looking for a "new" gear set, not used.
  21. Looking for who sells new gear sets for the r200 rears? have 3.90's and looking for 4 series ratio.
  22. We went with the L6, so we could really rub it in when we blow away street camaro, mustangs and gto v8's out there. Lift the hood and the look on peoples faces after they have been beat when they see a staight 6 is priceless.
  23. The triples are very easy to keep in synch. We synched them when it was dynod 6K miles ago and checked them last month and they were still fine. We bought a nitrous fogger kit for it and were going to throw a 175 shot on it, but it never was installed. The cops around here are towing cars if they are pulled over and found with nitrous hooked up and I figured forget it. Aready got pulled over once and it almost got towed for the modded engine it had.
