  1. lol always waiting for some parts, that's the Z car life. Funny new sig pic. Watch out, some Datsun purists will bust in and stop the wedding.
  2. No bad at all, I wish I hadn't spent 500$ for a bodyshop to shoot the rust bullet primer on my car.
  3. Link works for me, that lookss like a fun project
  4. If it were me I would take it to a machine shop, won't cost too much...it's just a hone job:)
  5. I wouldn't either. For a company that is tied to aeromotive industry, it sure is reluctant to make cool looking cars.
  6. Ansel, You told your mechanic the "wheel" is locked but did you tell him it's the "steering wheel"? If you told him just over the phone the "wheel" is locked then he'll prolly think it's a FF car
  7. Go to the junkyard, there should be several 300zx or maxima there. I know my local one has a few VG30 car
  8. Garrett, I will prolly do it locally. How much for the adaptor? Do you know or is it best that I contact Mazworx?
  9. They say S30s in Japan have a god-like status:)
  10. How much does the bellhousing modification cost?
  11. It's good enough man, I heard most things on the internet are hearsay anyway.
  12. LOL don't you just love/hate it when that happens? It can only happen at HybridZ. Jon you already have 4000+ posts let other kids play the slides you handling oriented bully
  13. Hmmm I am not sure about that. Imagine a scenario in which the air blowing thru the carb is 100% gaseous water. When the gaseous water flow thru a carb, will the carb compensate and provide zero amount of fuel? It won't; a certain amount of fuel will still be metered in response to the gas flow thru the venturi. The venturi only "feels" air flow, but does not distinguish the content of it. This is why carbs get "out of tune" so often, the fact is altitude and weather is "out of tune" more often. A EFI setup WITHOUT oxygen sensor suffers the same.
  14. Distributor and igntion module(little black box on the distributor). ZX engine parts interchange with earlier Z's so they might be worth saving if you have the room. Brake booster, brake master(15/16 size), rear disk brake calipers is worth saving too because it is one of the brake upgrades for S30 owners. What else?

If you don't know where to start, then the best investment is on books. Corky Bell's "Supercharged" OR "Maximum Boost" is a must read. I said "OR" because a lot of contents in the two books overlap but "Supercharged" has information specifically written for supercharger users. "Maximum Boost" was written for turbo users. Adding boost means upgraded fuel delivery(injectors, pump, pressure regulator), and computer control (modified fuel map and boost retard), ignition quality(coil, plugs, wires), and some other minor considerations like fuel choice and intercooler piping. It's difinitely more expensive and complicated than just adding a supercharger:)
  16. He is browsing the forums right now:)
  17. If it's F54 then it is so called "turbo block", but not all F54 were used in turbo applications. According to the "How to modify....." book, starting in Dec/1980, turbo engines began using F54 blocks; beginning in Jul/1981, NA engines use F54 as well. The most important thing to know is that F54 turbo block is not the stronger block, it cools better due to slots in the webbing between cylinders. Early N42 blocks(280Z) were said to be the best since there are no slots in the webbing and the nickel content is higher.
  18. The "crankshaft oil seal fitting" look like rods but they are actually rubber rings. One in front, one at the rear. The diagram just draw them in side views. I haven't seen anything like it. Either it is some unrealated part that fell in by accident or there is a ghost in heaven wondering where the grenade safety pin is. I know! put up a reward for anyone who can identify it!
  19. What is in the widget in the classified section? I tried clicking on it but it won't let me in.
