  1. You can search about L28E ---> L28E + turbo threads and read what has been discussed and discovered. I can tell you right now that you DON'T absolutely need the F54 block. The N42 block is just as good/strong.
  2. not just a single person, apparently several people really want it.
  3. Wouldn't the rear intake setup increase noise volume? The cowl intake area is where air enters the cabin, meaning any noise created in that area can enter the cabin. This might be a problem since the LS1 gathers air from a single tube so air speed(therefore noise) at the entrance of tube increases. I am bringing this up because I think this setup is interesting and I am one of those people who would prefer a quiet cabin. If the noise is loud only when I put my foot on the gas then it would be fine, but will it be loud all the time with rear intake setup?
  4. bought my first Z and regretted it immediately...way too much rust, now it's a parts car. bought another rolling Z shell, now regretting it because the welding jobs from before sucks bad. I am paying a bodyshop to have the bad patch jobs cut out and re-done.
  5. it's already heavily modded....
  6. Yes that's what happened when I placed my order as well! He shipped the pans and supports first!
  7. you might get better response if you post this in the classified section. It won't get pushed to the bottom of the page by newer threads.
  8. Maybe zedd finding is temporarily out of town. I bought two front engine support rails and two floor support rails from him last year and was happy with the product and the process.
  9. I think the Trans Am is one of the very strong contender, but whenever the challenge requires the car to get a little sideways, the Trans-Am has to lose because of their ETS system. The throttle is automatically limited by the electronic system when tire spin is detected. Interesting that now all the competitors drive USA machines. American muscle showdown
  10. I just saw the Lotus team eliminated last night, what a surprise. I bet the sales number of Lotus Elise climbs after airing the show.
  11. what do you mean by "across the board"? You mean the maximum variation?
  12. That's a good place to start actually. I have been in races where I can't be competitive, especially circuits like Circuit de la Sarthe, with a LONG high speed track. Then I realized I am hitting the rev limiter before the torque runs out. Change the gear ratio and BOOM, first place, easy wins. I agree with L28ET, my biggest beef with Forza is that they let you do engine swap in a Z (what an innovate idea in the whole tuning/racing simulator game genre) but doesn't let you do wider tire upgrade. So we have a car with monster torque and wider fender flares.....that only uses bicycle tires.
  13. If you have a PS2, you prolly have bought GT4. If you have bought GT4, you prolly have unlocked 240ZG. If you have unlocked 240ZG, you prolly have three of them, one color each. If you have those 240ZG's, you prolly have done maximum upgrade and weight reduction. However, power is not enough, I am looking for a good tuning spec. Care to share yours? Thanks
  14. The scope mount is a cantilever and with the two screw holes closer together than the usual. When the two holes are really close it is really easy for anyone to get the alignment crooked. If you were to do it again it still might not be straight. 1.5 degree(90 MOA) is too much for the scope to compensate for. If it were my gun I wouldn't be comfortable putting a lot of heat on the receiver ring or the barrel. I'd shim(offset) the ring base to see if I can get away with it without dinging the scope tube. If you don't want to mar the scope by offset, you'd have to use a set of rings that can rotate at the base. The problem with rotary rings is they can only be used with their own bases. You might have to look around for a ring that fits your rail. What rail is on the ATI? Weaver style?
  15. Reminds me of a car in one episode of Simpsons : Ramboghini Fasterossa
  16. Good for you. IF IT WERE ME, I'd tell the seller "Well the guy from Eugene offered you extra 500$ but If you had told me about the bidding war I would have paid you an extra 1000$" Let the greedy bastard lie in bed late at night wondering about the 1000$ that got away. He's not going to be happy when he count the 500$ money neither. But as you said, life goes on...living well is the best revenge...
  17. I'd hate to think someone who saw this thread swiped the deal from you. A deposit is a deposit. ♥♥♥♥ like this shouldn't happen. I feel your pain. Do you think there is a law that somehow binds you as a potential buyer to the car? I strongly suggest that you ask people about this in the general discussion board. You paid the deposit as per requested by the seller and I think there should be some law that forbids the seller from selling to other buyers who is later than you since you are the first runner up. Did you get a receipt when you handed him the deposit? If you don't have written proof, you have nothing, he might even not give you your money back. I had a friend that tried to buy a car; he paid the deposit but didn't get any receipt, the seller saw the chance and took advantage of it.
  18. My 260z is full of crappy welds(and rat feces too) when I took over the abandoned project from a divorced couple...sad.
  19. Watch it again, this time paying attention to the engine sound....doesn't it sound like a flying pack of angry hornets?
  20. thanks....what about rear quarters? I found someone who has rear quarters from a 74 2+2 for sale, wondering if it will fit coupe...
