On say, on an otherwise stock L28ET, would you be able to just swap a wideband O2 sensor in for the stock narrowband sensor and still have the stock electronics be able to understand the signal that it's receiving?
I was partial to the Lambo style wheel but even with 30% discount, at current exchange rates, it still ends up being too much more than what I'm willing to pay. If I'm paying all that much, then I'd expect them to at least be super light.
When you guys go, be sure to check out that new engine they got over in the Zap! booth. It's a most intriguing design, kind of a cross between a tradition piston/cylinder engine and a rotary.
I was hoping to simplify my '82 Turbo too. It's so darn complicated with all those hoses and wires and sht going everywhere. But since I'm in CA, with some of the strictest laws, I'm scared to touch anything. So I too am interested in finding out what bits I can remove, or at least convert to something neater.
I went too, on Sat. I saw those patches and was thinking of getting one, but I was already sporting a vintage Datsun jacket. Haha, I was like, "Ooh! A Datsun logo patch!" Then I look down at the breast of my jacket, "Oh, right..."
I do notice that after driving the car, the main can does look like it's nearing the top with fluid. Just wondering if an aftermarket radiator, which is theoretically more efficient, would cool the fluid better, such that it wouldn't expand as much.
On my '82 280ZX Turbo, the radiator coolant catch can/tank has a smaller catch can attached to it (my non-turbo doesn't have this). The cap of the primary can has a hose that leads to the smaller tank. Can anyone tell me what the point of the catch can having a catch can is?? Why not just have one big can? Do I need to keep that extra can if I get an aftermarket radiator?
I have a '82 280ZX Turbo w/ T5 tranny. I was planning on upgrading the rest of the exhaust piping anyways, so, while I'm at it, I'd be willing to be a guinea pig too.
I drove a Chevy SSR recently and I noticed it had Torque gauge built in. I'd never seen/heard of such a thing, let alone on a stock vehicle. I have no idea what it's hooked up to or how it works though.
Just what kind of gas mileage are you getting? On my '82 280ZXT, I average in the low-mid 20's, which is a pleasant surprise to me since it's pretty close to my NA 280ZX.
I took a brief look at each forum section. Is it just me, or does the site not really have much to do with Wangan Midnight? Just seems like a bunch of random car talk. I would've expected more talk of the story, characters, or characters' cars of Wangan Midnight.
