  1. Okay I donated, let me know if more is needed when the time comes. Can't wait to see results and HARD DATA!!!!! Tyson
  2. I'm more than willing to help, I just need either a very close date to when you expect to do the testing. If its in a year, then I'm less likely as I will be done with my Z. If its Januaryish I'll through a big chunk in. Thanks, Tyson
  3. There are a lot of options available. A couple of searches could find out more for you, but I'm running 17x9.5 with 5" backspacing. Haven't mounted them, but member Nazar (rip) had mounted his and didn't have any problems. Tyson
  4. The reason your getting so much flack is because its evident your DIDN'T SEARCH!!!! Easiest is a perception, cheapest depends on what your budget and goals are. Use the search function and the stickies of each related forum and if you're still having questions SEARCH some more, then if you're still having questions, well then you can ask a question. It'll make your stay much more pleasant for you and everyone else. Best of luck SEARCHING!! Tyson
  5. No problem Jeff, hope to see some progress pics soon and how you feel about laying down the glass. Thanks for the link too, Tyson
  6. Damn thats a steal!!! Good job!!! Tyson
  7. Without pulling complete thread Hi-jack. http://www.fibreglast.com/contentpages-Fundamentals-of-Fiberglass-41.html http://www.hotrodder.com/32Blowpar/page8.html http://www.racingcomposites.net/ Just a few beginning webpages, you can also check out Amazon.com and look at their books on composites etc. Also you can search google on some different techniques, etc. as to how to go about it. Tyson
  8. Would this still have to follow CA smog laws? Or do you know? Thanks, Tyson
  9. Do a search on Show-car body parts. Not the best person to be dealing with for product reception nor communication. Tyson
  10. I see you're a fan of Daniel Tosh...
  11. You know the it almost looks like a 280z, from the door panel interior pics. The door panel looks like mine on the 280 but not on my 240. Any one else have a guess for the year? Where's Alan T when we need him? Tyson
  12. Pretty cool, course the guy needs to learn to spell and his asking price seems pretty high. I'll watch it, might make a bid on it. Thanks for the link! Tyson
  13. From the Baddest N/A Thread: "My N/A 3.1 at work. The engine is built using a nissan factory big bore block(extra thickness in the casting) with LD crank, 89mm forged pistons, 11.1 comp ratio, throttle slide assembly with 6 injectors set into DFL trumpets, coil on plug distributorless ignition controlled by DTA engine management with fully mapped ignitio and fueling. Traction control and launch control is part of the system but not used in the dry. Full data logging on the ECU. The engine at the moment has just finished the first full season in this form and is still very much under developement but at the moment is producing 200ft/lb @ 2000 rpm and 270ft/lb @ 4000. The car itself is the car that Janspeed used to race in europe and the engines in the picture that Alan has posted on the OS GILKEN thread are the engines that were used in the car. The Xflow headed engine was never raced as there were serious head gasket failure issues. The slide throttle assembly, block and head are the same items that were used in the race car though the slide throttle was again never raced. This was used on an experimental injection setup that was being developed by Janspeed at the time. Sadly (for me and the history of the car) the xflow head was kept by the people that bought the car from Janspeed and sold on to it's present owner. try this link to see the car at work http://www.brayspeed.co.uk/assets/be...n%2006%20f.wmv this link is a short vid of a shootout for a tuning mag that specialized in Japanese cars and is the only time I have done a 1/4 mile but was quite pleased with the results 0 to 60 4.2 secs 0 to 100 10.4 secs 1/4 mile 12.7 secs cheers ben" Tyson
  14. Look for member Ben240z, he is from the UK. I'm currently talking to him about interest in the Janspeed Body Kit. He's made a couple of post in the "who has the baddest N/A L series" thread. Tyson
  15. Haha awesome Ernie. I love my macs, I also have a Powerbook G4, and a iMac G4. PC's have their place and I still use them for some programs (cad, etc.), but I don't like them for my daily use. As for the car, we're buying a C-train and getting the garage cleared out. So I can start working on it at home. I might have some questions for you when I start painting if you don't mind, I've been reading about "the perfect panel" and they address fixing low points but don't say much on how to fix a high point without banging on the metal. I need to do some more reading on how to fix "high spots" though. Thanks Ernie hope everything is going well with your fam. Tyson
  16. Well I had helped facilitate the original Group buy of them. No longer available to my knowledge, though you can try contacting fats-cats on ebay. He sent me out another one when I orderd the Datsun Patch.
  17. I'm not an expert on how their setup is. http://www.ststurbo.com/ I'd "think" they're running ball bearing turbos of somesort. It can be done, you're just looking at a lot of piping fabrication. However if you do, do this I recommend upgrading to a different turbo. just my .02 Tyson
  18. Yes you "could," but I don't see it as being the best setup for a turbo application. STS Turbo Systems run a remote turbo setup and have pretty good success. However I don't know about the 300zx turbo, but it will most likely be pretty laggy and you probably won't be able to force much boost through it. Out of curiosity, why not run a turbo manifold and turbo setup? Would be much easier to do and probably net your more WHP. Tyson
  19. Wow, pretty sweet pictures Ron. Definitely like all of your pictures, what camera type are you using? I'm currently using a Kodak Easyshare LS443, its not the best and its a Point-n-shoot. I'd like to go more "high-powered" but I really like the portability of smaller ones. Tyson
  20. Its been a long couple of months, I work as a 911/Fire Emergency Dispatcher for the largest county in California. Fire season has recently came to an end, we have A LOT of grass fires during the summer, not to mention 8000sq miles of medical aids, off road rescues (we have a lot of ATV accidents and dumbsh*ts don't know where the are), pregnancies, CPRs, car accidents, river rescues, plane crashes, etc. and we help any of the 8 surrounding counties up to 5 miles no questions asked when asked. We also assist other counties across the country for grass fires (we are one of the most qualified fire departments for this type of incident). Anyways, things are starting to slow down after a hard 6 months. Enough tooting of my own horn, but I figured I'm gonna splurge on some toys for me and my car. Bought a 32" LCD, a mac mini, wireless mouse, wireless keyboard, HP Jornada 728, a Datsun Hat, Datsun Patches, a G-nose, and a FG hood. I've got a couple more purchases coming up, but I'm trying to wait till after Christmas. I don't want this thread to come off as bragging, I'm just glad to be done with fire season and to have spent some money on me. Tyson
  21. Back on to the topic. I'll take a Koenisegg and a hot girl of ANY nationality, well maybe one each....
  22. So in response to the "I need a nice camera" thread, I really saw some cool photography from a lot of the people on the board. So I figured I'd start a thread of some pictures that I've taken. I tried to keep family/friends out of the pics, but post photo's of what you want. Tyson And a Logo I did for my racing team "Movi Racing inc."
  23. WOW, Ben240z I love the way your Z looks, what type of body kit is that? I've been watching the Vid in loop, how about anyone else? Tyson
  24. A good starting point for you. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=84860 Also you can play around with this if you curious about engine compression, etc. http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/enginedesign/ Also with the amount of work you'd put into swapping the Head manifolds, etc. you'd be better off just pulling the 280ZXT Engine and dropping it right in. Would be a lot less work IMO. Also spend some time using the search function on the site, it'll help you out IMMENSILY! Tyson
