  1. Is that hand made or a kit? Looks really nice!
  2. E85 will cut your oil life in half or even less, check it often if you are running that fuel. Tnx For the wake up call Phil, Nothing like a little Boost to wake you up in the morning. You going by Alamo today?
  3. Do you have a meter? If you pull the meter there is no more power.....
  4. I watched a Honda last weekend on the dyno- 4 cyl 725 hp street driven Its cool to see but for that amount of work and only 700 hp thats got to suck.
  5. Toilet Mint? whats worse than being pissed on all day? Maybe the fact that the piss melts you.
  6. It has its own temp sensor, it changes the speed of the fan depending on how high the temp is. I believe the controller is variable speed not just low or high. I am also using a Spal fan and a Afco alum radiator.
  7. I think they keep it at Ron Tylers house locked in a cage so it dosent bite anyone.
  8. I was just looking at you pics The unit I have only has the Fan and Temp Sensor wires terminated.??? The rest of the loom was just un-terminated wire. Is yours a special version or model specific?
  9. I am running the Spal unit in my car and it works great. The unit was well assembled and had non of the issues you are writing about. My temp is stable +/- 5 deg. and the fan never reaches the highest output setting. Maybe you got one that was assembled on a FRI and the tech just didn't care. As for the customer service, that SUX. I would just pay the 5 bucks and send it back and have the store check out the new one before it is sent out. Sorry about your Trouble man
  10. MY EYES!!!!! I reminds me of TRON Maybe you can use some of those as a blinding anti-theft device.
  11. What if you did a overlay where all the markings were UV responsive? Unless your partial to the green, it would most likely make all the black invisible at night. Thanks for posting pics, I have been wondering how the LEDs look in comparison.
  12. At 10,000 post you probably ascend to a higher plane where all the Hybrid Z info is stored in your brain Matrix style. Keep an eye on Jon, we should all see a bright flash on our screens we he ascends.
  13. My dad bought me the car in my sig for my first car at 16, and that year my high school installed 20 curb size speed bumps. There was no way into the parking lot unless you drove over 5 of them! Thats 10 sledge hammer like blows to the frame rails, everyday, for four years! They are flat now...
  14. How about a cap for the Turbo Dizzy. I run coil packs, but still use the dizzy for my CAS. The original dizzy cap with no wires on it looks a little out of place. It would be cool to just bolt up a cover made out of aluminum.
  15. Man I miss the foundry, it looks like fun. Here are my thoughts on your project, you may already know this stuff. The wheelabrator will give you a nice shiny finish, just make sure you strap the part in. If you let it tumble it can get bent and dinged pretty bad, and beware of occasional bb's from being embedded in the surface. As far as the mold prep, if you use a fine screen for your first layer of sand and with a little higher moister content (the sand inside of the pile of sand your using), you can achieve a pretty good finish. I like using a air nozzle to apply the parting powder as well, just blow it across the bag and it lays down a nice even layer. Clumps of powder leave a positive bump on the surface. Have fun.
  16. I believe they are bringing back the 240 or a 240ish platform.
  17. I had an inside Z source tell me that its going to give the GTR a run for the money. I asked if it was Turbo and he wouldn't answer. I also had a friend that went to buy a GTR and Nissan told him "no", there wont be enough to go around for another year or so. HMMMM
  18. Its "Green Sand" in an old school hand rammed pattern box, it mainly consist of bentonite and Oklahoma#1 sand. Pretty easy to make just don't get your moister content wrong or it goes pop! I would ask them to smut(acetylene) the mold before closing it up next time, it will give you a satin smooth surface. Nice to see that the first run came out well,Good job!
  19. What spring are you running? Ive switched to a 12psi from a 9psi. The 9 would pull open a bit at idle and was driving me insane trying to tune my idle air control. Now the 12 feels too stiff. How do you lessen vacuum at idle? Timing?
  20. Perfect this will make it even more simple! Tnx man
  21. That pretty much my thought. If I tell the Haltech we want the back wheels to be able to spin 10% (or whatever #) more than the front, then no matter how fast the wheels are spinning the Haltech will be trying to balance the difference by pulling power if needed. How else can you determine wheel speed? This should be resolved by the computer seeing all 4 wheels so that it will see if there is a difference in speed left to right ver. front to back. This is the real issue - what material to make the ring out of and what adaptable sensors are easily used, probably some sort of GM part. if I'm getting that much traction I wont need any TC at all... hehe My Haltech is aftermarket?
