  1. Im in if it will fit an s130. What is the ballpark price?
  2. Haltech all the way I don't think you can compare the two fairly unless you take away 3/4 of the haltech options, then you are left with a quality or budget decision.
  3. TNX man Ive been watching this all day
  4. There are little plastic clips holding the trim down. The bad part is, they break most of the time when you mess with them and you have to pull the windshield to replace them. I believe there is a special tool to un-clip the trim but it probably will be hard to find.
  5. Looks Great! I remember when I did my swap, it was like having a totally different car. On you heater hoses - shouldn't you have a bypass hose for the head return line for when you are not using the heater? I might be wrong but when the temp on your dash is switched to cold doesn't it stop the flow of coolant? Have fun with the new set up!
  6. I'm running a Haltech E11 v2 with 6 LS1 coil packs and 550cc injectors in full sequential. Using the 300zx trigger wheel and the original dizzy for crank and cam timing made everything real easy to set up (no fabrication). The tuning is easy with this EMS, it doesn't even sound like a L28 anymore because it idles so smooth. Just make sure whoever tunes your car that they specialize in that EMS, it will save you money tunnig on a Dyno if they already know there way around the software. As said in a previous post, it does make sense that running sequential is allot less taxing on the ignition and fuel components. Not to mention you wont be flushing precious gas down the drain.
  7. Loose the rims on the last one and it would be a perfect 380Z, But the first will allways be my fav..
  8. Man I totally agree, I hate unfastened masses.
  9. Are there any advantages to a running lighter weight oil in a L28et? Ive always run 20W50 which is a lot thicker than the oil I run in my wifes CX7, its like water. I think Mazda calls for 5w30. Ive always thought a more viscous oil would allow the engine to rev a little quicker, but wouldnt provide the protection a thicker oil would. Any thoughts?
  10. Dang, I was way off. I thought he was getting new countertops to put the z parts on...
  11. Check your firing order. If the plug wires are wrong, then most likely the dizzy is off alignment too. I had a friends dad do the same thing once. It was actually really crazy how he swapped wires until it ran. When I told him the firing order, he fixed that and then tried starting the car (after I said not too). It made the loudest back fire Ive ever heard. So double check all your timing before hooking up your injector clips, it will save you lots of trouble. As for the EGR cap it off first or hook it up.
  12. Well this is what Ive found so far. Here is a link to a site that has BSP to AN adapters. http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productselection.asp?Product=3230 I'm still trying to find the exact size. Ive had several people tell me to "just re-tap it to npt". That sound great until you try and do it, If the engine was out of the car Id say sure. But really $15 for the adapter is way less expensive than just the tap and not to mention the time involved and B**** factor of doing it. I'm thinking of going with the -10 line size, It seems big enough. Anyone else have any thoughts?
  13. Windows just updated last night and now I'm getting the errors as well. Its seems to be every other page, so very frequent. But it does seem to only be happing on hybrid z.
  14. Does anyone know what the pipe thread type and size is for the head coolant return line (at the back of the head by #6 cyl L28et). I busted a heater hose while at the track this weekend and I would like to use a nice AN fitting there but its not a NPT fitting. I did a search but nothing really came up on the subject. Tnx in advance Tommy
  15. If its all electric how many amps does it pull? If not how do you adapt the pulley?
  16. I just got back from the first test drive with my new Arizona Z car wilwood brake set up. I have to say its incredible! The amount of feel I now have is truly unreal, Im going to have to learn drive my car all over again at the track. The kit was very well put together and the design is very well thought out. I plan on shooting some in car vids of the track day coming up at Motorsport Ranch on the 31st, its going to be a blast with this new setup.
  17. Im sending this to Mad Mike maybe he can pull some strings and get Nissan to check this out. I would buy one today!
  18. Dude, you have every major manufacturer and high end brake company offering kits for the z31/z32, your options are limitless.... As far as whats involved in a caliper conversion on a z31/z32, just unbolt the current setup and bolt on the new....easy:D
  19. So if you did the Wilwood up front and had the stock set up in the back, Do you have to add a proportioning valve? (on a ZX)
  20. Does this set up require and changes in the brake system, like proportioning valve, change in rear set up, or master cylinder?
  21. Power slot said that they have discontinued the rotors for the s130s, That Sux. Everything that used to be available for s130s is starting to no longer be manufactured and at a alarming rate. Not to mention the super high prices for the few things left you can buy now, I'm betting that in five yrs I wont be able to drive my z unless I make the parts to fix it. I'm looking in to stop-tech now, Ill post the results.
