  1. Me too. 4" core double pass C&R/Visteon with a Niagra heat exchanger. Never had a cooling problem on the track - once I fixed the bypass.
  2. Actually, the main mass of the wheel/tire combo on an 18" wheel is about is about 9.5" out from the wheel center if you're talking about a 285/30-18 tire on a 18 x 10 rim. I built a SM2 autocross 240Z for a customer and it was designed from the ground up to run a 18 x 10 wheel with 285/30-18s on all 4 corners. The wheel and tire combo (Kodiak wheels, Kumho V710s) weighed around 45 lbs each. That's actually pretty light given the size. As a comparison, a trophy winning CSP Miata wheel and tire combo (15 x 10 with Hoosier 275/35/15s) weighed in at 39 lbs.
  3. Got 'em. I have 18 sets in my hands right now and will get another set in a couple days so 19 sets total for the first run. One set was lost due to scrap. I was not able to source new studs for the flanges so you'll have to reuse the ones out of your existing side axles or use a bolt of your own. I'll start contacting people on the list. If you haven't already, please send me the following via e-mail (to sales@betamotorsports.com): Name Shipping Address Phone Billing Address (if paying by CC) I'll be out of town camping from 3/5/10 through 3/7/10 but I can get stuff shipped before I leave and will be shipping all next week.
  4. Jerry called from Unitrax this morning asking how to fit the OSG with the 3.15 gear. In this situation they needed to move the pinion a bit deeper into the ring gear to get the right pattern. The solution is what Jon posted above - machine the face of the pinion to get the clearance needed (about .035" I think). The OSG case is a bit larger in OD then anything else run in the R200.
  5. You're right. I was just kinda emphasizing the coil over part due to the assumed (on my part) increased spring rate.
  6. Why don't you check out this thread: http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php?/topic/84521-s30-roll-cage-examples/ S130 and S30 roll cage designs would be very similar, especially if you went to a coil over setup in the back of the S130.
  7. "No comment"

  8. I should have the parts in my hands early next week. Called John today and he's doing the final milling steps on the side axles.
  9. Oh, you're still chancing it, but that's the method for removing the filler tube.
  10. From the top, bend the rubber lip into the flange opening and then push it down. Then work the whole filler tube out the bottom of the car.
  11. Since they are both made by the same company in Taiwan they are pretty much identical. I get monthly e-mails from that some company offering the exact same product (adjustable and non-adjustable) with my choice of powder coating, plating, etc. and the BetaMotorsports logo.
  12. Inside the housing there are two notches that let you get to the outer race of each bearing using a long pin punch. Mount the housing in a strong vice and then, using the pin punch tap the bearings out. Its unusual to have the outer bearing stick in the housing. I suggest that, once you get the bearings out, you inspect the housing where the bearings seat with calipers to make sure its still round.
  13. 60mm square not counting the lip that extends into the wheel well area.
  14. Jon's description above is spot on. It takes a pretty rare set of circumstances to get porposing (sympatheic pitch?) out of a Z and I've only encountered it once - at the Holtwille racetrack with a square (300/300) spring setup when we were testing the Penskes I put on my car. Sometimes I post obscure little factoids as if they are important and I should probably stop that. I'm sure you'll be fine with 250s all around. The shortened front Illumna shocks are typically the MR2 rears (BZ3099).
  15. Might also try a steering rack boot (not necessarily a Datsnn one).
  16. No that I'm aware of. Since the car came out of Nissan's "prototype" shop it probably had mods that never made it into production. Also, magazine guys try to make themselves look smart by posting nonsense.
  17. Top right, the drop down list next to your username.
  18. With 40 posts the other members have some basis to make a judgment on the honesty of the seller. Its not much, but its something.
  19. This is my required profile comment, "Hello."

  20. There's always eBay, Craigslist, zcar.com, and many other sites.
  21. I built a splitter for my Z and had aero issues at speed. It needed to be much closer to the ground then where I had it.
  22. Mmmmmm, big donut. Arrggghhhhrraaarrrgghh [drool].
