  1. Ha ha! Yessss, I remember that. Funny, but the photo above looks almost like mine; just add a Chevy V8 on a stand... Same stuff, different garage Davy
  2. Posted before I thought? RWD Eraser heads or spit balls?
  3. Nothing wrong with using the factory piece. The car is already set up for that and your solution was pretty elegant. The simpler, the better. Nice Davy
  4. Sexy face, flabby body---much easier to put 'em on a starvation diet and put 'em through fitness boot camp than to pay a plastic surgeon to remove the ugly from the face... Pirates of the Caribbean or Pirates of Penzance?
  5. Remember the thread from a while back about one of the members whose granny collected things and didn't want him to throw anything away... Mine fares only a little better than that, although there is very little "junk" in my garage--it's mostly tools, equipment, building materials, car parts, and other things. I long for the day I have an organized three car garage... Davy
  6. Maybe too many posting at once?
  7. http://store.summitracing.com/egnsearch.asp?N=700+115+300312&D=300312 You might want to try Summit Racing if you haven't already done so. I'm fairly sure that they'll get you the wheels in the size that you need (you'll have to supply them with the offset and bolt pattern desired, etc, and they'll be able to ship them to OZ. Shipping is the main costly item, frankly, but they can probably do it cheaper than most anyone else. It's worth a try. Davy
  8. If you want to keep things "simple" go with a carbed motor. If you have quite a bit of automotive experience, go with an LSx motor. The JTR kit is for SBC though the LT1s, but nothing further. Read the JTR manual before making a decision. Davy
  9. THAT SUCKS. I'm sure not laughing about it. At least you're not throwing in the towel and having a quick fire sale. It gets frustrating, but keep at it and you'll have what you want, plus a ton of experience behind you. I'm sure you'll nail it this time around. Davy
  10. Lots and lots of bacon, eh Dr Hunt?! Are they good eating? I imagine they are, although I haven't eaten much wild boar in my life. Davy
  11. Europe!! Billet aluminum or billet steel?
  12. Interested? This is a Z site where we fabricate things? Nah, I'm sure no one would want to see that Heck yeah! Sounds like you have your hands full at the moment, but it seems like you know exactly the direction you want to go. The tube frame chassis sounds very interesting, especially with the suspension you've chosen. When you are able, upload a few photos to the site so we can see it too Davy
  13. Great story; great local color. I loved it Davy EDIT: you should submit that to Nissan Sport Magazine with a few photos of you & your car. I would think they would publish stories like that...
  14. Be serious! ROLEX, Baby! Grenades or RPGs?
  15. We made it a major point a while back and even modified (still do) a number of thread titles. I believe it is still one of the points somewhere at the beginning---maybe in a sticky. Bottom line is: you're correct!! It'll make a huge difference to the site if those of us who 1) know and 2) actually care abide by those rules! Good point. Davy
  16. WIKKIDD... This is nice too: It's the best shot of the Panasport-looking type wheel to the lower left... Davy
  17. Perfect. That's what I'll be doing too. I'll take 'em. I have to transfer some change to Paypal and I'll contact you with my info later. Gotta run to work right now!! Davy
  18. Decent price, but two things I need to know first: 1) are you using coil-overs (narrower) or just "stock-width" springs? 2) Do the spacers work like an adapter with their own studs and nuts, or are they truly a "spacer" that requires really looong studs? (if so, what length?) I'm just getting clarification before giving you a definite, "Sure!" haha. Many thanks Davy
  19. Great! That's the exact size I'm looking for! You see, Sportmax makes wheels in that size that are the bomb (different style than the ones on the group buy). I really appreciate the info. 2" spacer, eh? Oh well, some things must be sacrificed Bummer about the bondo, but the body looks perfect despite the weight. If you are concerned to the point of obsessing about it, you can always make a 'glass mold of 'em and go from there. That way at least the bondo isn't there and FG weighs practically nothing. Heck, I'd leave it and get the motor to make an additional 10 hp... Again, thanks for the info. Davy
  20. Thanks for the info--now I know what they look like on there. Are they 17"s or 18"s?? It's too hard to tell from the photo, but they look great nonetheless. Hmmm, with that kind of distribution, I don't think you'll need to, but everyone's preference is different. Glad you took the scientific approach and found facts before making a decision that could cost you more time. Still it'll be interesting to find out what your driving thoughts are if you do decide to make the switch. That's not out of the ordinary and quite frankly isn't so bad at all. Good luck cutting more weight out if you haven't already stripped it a good amount thus far. Remember that wheels & tires be heavy Davy
