  1. Well if someone has a beater Z they want to experiment on... I am sure at least one person would donate $5 to see some conclusions (me). Scam or not.
  2. Wonder if anyone has actually tried and tested it... Its only $97, maybe someone should try it.
  3. I can inquire about the center caps if someone can supply dimensions. Reason being, the current center caps (at least the ones others received from Rota) do not clear our hubs. Alternatively next week I might be able to measure.
  4. I asked for 73mm minimum. I do believe that clears our 240/260/280z's.
  5. I am rather close... What type of stuff is he using? What kind of weight gain is planned?
  6. Not at the moment. The plan is just for 17x9.5" -19 and probably 17x9" -13. In the future if there is enough support than other offsets could be made... takes 5 group buyers to change an offset or a pattern from what I was told in this specific case. I have just emailed Kim so we should have an update relatively soon.
  7. I found this interesting. Any speculation to the merits vs. vices of such a setup? Corvette guys know what model the setup is from? http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/car/554026182.html
  8. I saw it, but won't touch it. Saw it a while ago. For me, no title, no deal.
  9. Its not my video, just cross referenced it from YouTube because I prefer streetfire.net
  10. Are we switching over to the typical forum interface? If so I like it better. The contact seller button never worked, as noted in the other thread. Also, I really liked the recent ads feature, I would like that to stay if possible! Thanks!
  11. If I might ask, what is the situation that got you to this place? Someone was supposed to do work, you paid before, it was not as described so you want funds returned?
  12. Well the 240z, 260z, and 280z have had a pretty successful motorsports history ever since they came out (Won SCCA championship in its class every year it was out... 1970-1978)... A stock 240z weighs what, 2355lbs. Thats already 500lbs or so less than an S13, maybe 900lbs less than a Z32. I wouldn't worry about the aero that much either if you really are road racing... You will be modifying the car considerably to race any way, plus it has a small cross sectional area... Lastly, top speed was 125mph for the 240z... with something around 130hp SAE NET. The aero cannot be THAT bad for top speeds, at least any top speeds I would imagine one would see on an average road course.
  13. He is a super guy. Unfortunately my mails bounce back and his number is changed. He might still take PMs though.
  14. Maybe 16 total? 6 per side already is a bunch. The Powerbrute R200's are 3 per side. I think stock was 1 and 2 friction disks, but don't quote me on that. Wonder if there is an appreciable difference in the torque the R200 clutch units can take compared to the R180. What I mean is what is the equivalent number of R200 disks when compared to the R180 disks. Anyone know the diameter of disks?
  15. Wow 6 clutch disks per side...
  16. I have never heard of this company. Do they have a website you could link?
  17. Im no racer, but it looked to me like the 911 made a bunch of mistakes, especially at the end, he was coming into the last long corner pretty quick then scrubbed it all off.
  18. I think the whole issue with the hydraulic brakes is that they just don't seem that safe and they can lose pressure. When they do the car rolls. Is this correct? At least I thought it was an issue... With a mechanical setup the caliper is held shut using a ratcheting mechanism and can only fail really if the cable snaps, which pretty much only happens when you are applying the brake itself.
  19. 73BOTIZ: http://forums.hybridz.org/member.php?u=7973 USED to make them. He was very good and charged a fair price. He might still make them. I would PM him, his last visit reads as early December 2007 so he might still be available...
  20. Thanks! Lastly this is a stupid question I couldn't easily find an answer to.... Am I supposed to put some kind of shims or anti-squeal behind the pad if I want them to be street friendly? Or does the noise mainly come from the compound itself? Thanks!
  21. I ordered a set of Hawk HP+ pads and they don't seem to fit my superlights. They pop right in, but what I believe is called the "bridgebolt" on the caliper does not fit through the hole on the pad. I investigated more and it appears there are two types of Superlites, the forged version and the Superlite "II". In anycase, the pads fit right in and it seems like I can bore the hole larger. Is this adviseable or should I just grind the tab off completely? Thanks! Here is the pad in question, the first uses the bolt to hold the pad in place, the second does not. Both of them seem to have exactly the same dimensions: Thanks guys!
