  2. 1990 is a z32 so not a zxt its a zxtt correct? Or am i hitting on a technicality? Just checking to amke sure you wern't thinking z31. Also it is possible 1990 was only a single turbo, i don't remember though it was twin though.
  3. I didnt watch the show but i thought it was supposed to be a street tune. Granted 800hp isn't street neither is a stripped out SS with all that body **** and only 2300 lbs. The skyline probably weighed in at around 3000 and with a guy who never drove RHD and a failing (bearing i believe they said) what do you expect. But the main point is that GM got a pro driver, XS should of done the same if they could. If i remember correctly kojima was the one who refused to take out his 300zx tt for the SCC project car tests because of a little water on the ground. Also, I don't think XS has any racing credentials at all, arn't they simply a tuner brand?

  5. My ford explorer has a diagram of the serpentine belt under the hood holder upper stick (ya i dont know what to call it). If you don't have that, don't fear basically draw a picture of how it looks now, then you can see things much clearer, if yours is anything like mine it will come out the bottom after you get it over the fan. To release the tensioner put a breaker bar on the auto tensioners center bolt and push it as if tightening (i believe) this shouldnt loosen the bolt but it will loosen the serpentine belt and then you can easily free it. Also my explorer made those belt start up sounds and what not, my a/c comnpressor was shot and got very hot close to seizing, eventually the noise would be on all the time. This might be the same problem you have, if it is, Im sorry you will need a new compressor (clutch atleast). Also if you want to cut off A/C simply go to the kragen and tell them it is for a non a/c they should have a belt for you. Hope that helps
  6. Ya i saw that but im cheap so it doesnt seem like a good route for me. $400 for a working clutch pedal is kinda crazy IMHO. I think i will make my own out of wilwood stuff. Well first i need to check their prices any way.
  7. Okay thanks guys. Last three questions: 1. Is there any one in the Bay Area running MS that can help me out? 2. How does the MS connect to the throttle body and injectors and what not by connecting tot he stock computer harness? Or by making a little harness to each piece? 3. Are there different types of harness connector available? Or do you simply take the old computers harness and yank all the wires out and put in your own?

  9. I used a muvo slim, shaped exactly like a credit carb but .27" thick. USB 2 compatible. FM tuner and mic built in. 15-17 hours of bettery life recharged through the USB but also replaceable (removeable). Has equalizer, shuffle, all that. Can also make .wma's from the radio, it records them for you and saves em. Only down side is that it doesnt have a big screen but the titles will come out pretty large, atleast enough for me to see while driving. 128, 256, 512, and 1 gb capacities. Cost is $79.88 for 256mb, $119.88 for 512mb on amazon.com

  12. Hi this is going to be a super newb post seeing as i read through megasquirt.info and am thoughly confused. 1. What are Digi-Key parts? 2. What does the stimulator do? 3. How exactly does the MS box connect to the throttle body, injectors, and sensors? 4. What sensors do i use for a ford 302? 5. How difficult is it to program/setup for a v8 i have never run before? Is it possible to download a generic program for a ford 302? Thanks guys sorry if this has been answered 1,000 times, i searched but honestly i didn't even know what to search for.

  15. wheres my suzuki pikes peak escudo.. thats my baby. 985 horse @ 8100 rpm 2.0L v6 tt with what 1700 lbs wbhhaahhaha, oh yea AWD. And alot of down force, that thing is like a gigantic upside down wing . 285mm tires. It gets to 60 in helluv fast somewhere in the twos for sure i would assume faster then the 2.6 they got there as the fastest. Alas it has never officially been tested for 0-60 or top speed. I think it has 3 valves/cylinder also, strange

  18. I searched but i couldn't find exactly what i needed, so here it goes... I want to go EFI on my 1994 mustang block (right now it has nothing) and i was wondering what the cheapest way to do it is. There is no need for smog stuff so i don't want soemthing as complex as the stock computer, because as i understand it, it is always thinking about smog which might adverseley effect performance? Or is it possible for a dyno shop to rewrite the stock computer to meet my requirements? Also where would i get a complete 5.0 H.O. setup if i did go that way? I would need a fuel pump too wouldn't I? Thanks

  20. O gotcha. Eh I liek the new Z but it is super rounded in the rump and heavy But it is a sweet car none the less Now make it AWD (i thinkt hey can ebcause doesnt the g35 have an awd variant?) use the ATESSA system too
  21. I don't get the top speed reasoning unless you use it for track/drag. Id go with the 81-83 tranny, .745 OD vs .864 is pretty nice
