  1. Dont count on a write up as i pretty much winged it. The drivers side works much better, I have a new rail and frame coming for the passenger side one. I will post more pics after the holiday. IMG_0807.MOV

  3. I'm running a R230 from a twin turbo 300zx and custom axles. Supposidly bullet proof. The 3.69 is a bit tall but hey i can do 200 in a s30....
  4. GTX garrets are not much cheaper. (dual ball bearing) and you dont have to buy a wg or a bov if you dont want to... Edit, Actually garrett is more if you get the GTX because I dont think they come with the turbine housing.
  5. Well I am looking hard at the new Borg warner EFR setup. I am only wanting aboout 500-550 so i am thinking the 7670 or a 7664 EFR with the internal wastegate. I am hearing good STREET results. Dyno results look pretty close to garret GTX series, PTE, etc... Supposedly they spool pretty good on the street. I think Geoff is running a 8374. There is not many of them out there yet as they are pretty new. BG EFR Info I like the internal gate for the the S30 chassis as room is a huge issue.
  6. Thats normal for the shaft to spin when you try to tighten it. Use an impact gun in bursts on like setting 2 of 3 or so.
  7. 600-700 in a s30 in street trim? How are you going to keep it out of a ditch? 17x15 slicks?
  8. I would start by getting some tophats for the coilovers, are the stock isolators in there? if so anything over 250 spring rate your not gonna benefit from.
  9. I need a passenger side window frame/mount. This is the piece that the glass actually bolts to. It has a plastic slider that slides into the window regulator rails.
  10. They have different tracks im sure it would be alot easier on 260/280s. I got the drivers side one in there for the most part. getting it in there isnt a big deal I had it mounted in about an hour, thats pulling the old one out and all that crap. The pain is trying to bend the rail right. I took the front most rail out and bent it to that but that didnt work for crap. After about 9 hours of monkeying with it i think i have it relatively close. Probably be easier with an english wheel or something.
  11. Ok i give up. You guys with 260 and 280s could make them work but the 240 has **** windows to begin with.
  12. Well some not so grand news. I got the passenger side close, but i cant get my window to ride on the rails right. It was hard as hell to roll down on the oem regulator. I have put about 20+ hours into making the damn thing roll up and down good, but no luck. So i put the camery one in there hopping my oem was was bent but it jambs too. I might try the drivers side one, not sure yet. It does roll up and down about the upper 1/2 pretty good. But the 240z windows suck anyway. Im pissed off and tired, more later.

  15. The check valve on the fuel should be for the charcoal canister. It sucks vapors out of the tank with engine vacuum. You don't want boost going to that hense the check valve. Is this maf setup or speed density?
  16. Hey guys I'm looking for turbo upgrades and I am hearing good things about the new borg warner EFR setups. I hear a few of r34 guys have it and are claiming -10 hp with -7 responce. If that is the case i cant imagine the asswoopings that will insue. As for me I am thinking about a smaller single turbo like 550-600 whp. Something like the 7670 efr not sure if i want a t3 or t4 flange yet. The internal gate would be great for the S30 chassis as far as packing is concerned. I talked to Jon at Full-Race and he said no one has their manifold in a S30 I am going to take some measurments and send them to him and see what he thinks.

  18. Not being familiar with nistune but are any of your trims or anything caluclated on vehicle speed? maybe unhook the VSS and see if it goes back to normal?

  20. What really started me guessing is i had to the the IAT comp table and no knock control. Mainly the knock control
  21. I actually had this tuned by a tuner up in Charlotte. The dyno numbers looked alot better with the 12 afr and i dont know much about timing so i dunno there. Anyway I think I am going to take it to a different tuner. I hate to pay another 700 bux though..grrr
