this isn't mine. I am thinking about doing some like that with the upper brace. mine is cracking the sheet metal where i drew the lines. i put the little 2x2 inside and welded that. it also ripped out the front most bolt treads, not sure how I'm gonna address that yet as you can't get to it.
This style... pretty much where it bolts to the car. I probably need to go in and line the area with 3/16 plate and make my own but i made a subwoofer box out of my tool storage area so i don't have access to that area.
i'll get some pictures the next time i have it on the rack.
Well i reinforced the area with 2x2 steel tubing but i am still slowly ripping the front diff mount area out of my car. What are you guys doing? R230 twin turbo diff.
Not 100% done with it but close enough for now. I have little patience for aligning body panels. With the hood being so light and no spring the front will ride up so it looks like it doesn't align more but thats cause i can't run a hood spring with my intercooler and condenser in there.
Just a lot of patience and lots of little adjustments. I think I ended up at 3 degrees dead on both. Ive moved up a good bit in the power department so I will soon be on a CV driveshaft so I willnt have much to worry about.
The radiator cap hits but I'm going to be running a different radiator. I thought it would be hitting the intake and turbo but it clears, hot damn... This isn't bolted on or anything its just laying on there.
I haven't been driving it much, its soooooooo hot. Im sure with my ems i can make it however i want to. I'm going to pull the relay and see how it is without power. might tell the ecu to shut it off above 30ish.
