  1. I too have been in search of this, supposedly the Modern Motorsports rear 240sx brackets can work. Z32 brakes do bolt onto 240sx's front and rear so it could make sense in this case. The big caveat is that there will be no ebrake Thread: http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/83466-z32-brakes-on-s30/ Post, posted by member Hoov100: the z32 calipers come in aluminum or iron, 4 piston, 26mm pistons or 30mm pistons and 280mm rotors. and none are bolt on. also silvermine motors uses a caliper bracket for early 240sx calipers, which makes the mounting holes to narrow, MM uses the later 240sx calipers which would make the z32 rear calipers bolt on, but you wouldnt have a parking brake feature unless you installed a line lock or equivalent. and no, the only people i have seen with z32 brakes, installed z32 suspension as well. (also there is a HUGE sticky on brakes as well as an entire section for it, that should have the answers with little searching)
  2. Is the G35 also yours? I also run the G/Z combo! haha g35 sedan DD and the Z as weekend/project car
  3. What kind of flares are those? Also what are your tire/wheel combination specs? The car looks beautiful!
  4. Planned on going to the Japanese Car Show at the Larz Anderson Museum on Sunday. My serpentine belt was squealing so I went to go adjust it I then notice both of my alternator bracket bolts had sheared off... I fixed it but didn't finish until 2/3pm when the show was conviently over... *Sigh maybe I'll make it one of these years... I've missed the last 3 due to either car issues or work.
  5. Looks like an interesting watch! I'll check it out after work, thanks for the link!
  6. Wow page number And post number, can't slip anything by you! Its called Bosozuku Style http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C5%8Ds%C5%8Dzoku
  7. I really want to say this guy is apart of this forum actually. I swear I've seen him post in some of the picture threads before.
  8. Ditto, I'm getting the nothing found error as well.
  9. I love my 2+2, sure I like the lines of the coupe better but when it comes to utility with the car the 2+2 reigns supreme. I daily drove mine for a year and a half driving people and carrying bunches of stuff. I actually only bought my 2+2 as a temporary measure in mind originally but ended up keeping it. I had a coupe first but had to sell it as I needed a DD and I couldn't DD the coupe. I then decided to pickup a 2+2 as a daily plus Zcar in one. I thought having a Z is better than having none at all. Needless to say here I still am with the 2+2 and its great. I can drive people in a pinch (which I do quite frequently actually) and I can store stuff. With the back seats folded down you can carry quite a bit of stuff and I've routinely driven 3 or 4 people in the car with no issues. I would say most parts, 90 plus percent save a few 2+2 only pieces are interchangeable with the coupes which makes it easy to work on the car. All in all they are great cars and can look as good as coupes/go as fast as coupes if you mod them right. With all Z's I think the most important question is is the car worth saving/working on and how much are you willing to invest in it. Heres mine
  10. Possibly bushings, driveline slop, diff/mustache bar. Like everyone before me said, it depends on the type of noise and is it every single time or only occasionaly? Since its a new old car I would go through the entire car especially the suspension.
  11. Thanks Rebekah! That really means a lot! I feel the 2+2 is a good looking car in the right colors/setup. Certain colors can make it look very bloated or unflattering but silver seems to be a good fit. I chose the 2+2 initially because I needed the extra space and it was actually my daily driver for a year and a half! I have since gotten a daily and she is now the project/garage queen. I toyed with the idea of getting a coupe but the 2+2 has really grown on me. I'm planning on eventually doing a full restoration on her.
  12. Finally got the front right suspension back together yesterday. That gland night sure is a pita but I got it tightened down. Bent some new brake line (rounded off the old one taking it off...) and reassembled everything. Shes back! after 3 weeks being down she fired right up. What a feeling to drive the car again, shame fall/winter is coming...
  13. I'm mainly referring to these http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/7inchround-halogenLamp The main page image is incorrect but if you go back one page and look at the listing page it shows the same housing. I am well aware that you cannot have a true cutoff without a projector but my main concern is controlling the light and not having it affect oncoming traffic. I know that it is possible to control the HID output without a projector type housing.
  14. Hey Stony, what 7" headlight housings do you have? Are they the ones from DDM Tuning? Do you run HIDs with them? If so how is the cutoff?
  15. Thanks Gilliw! I've put a good amount of work into her but she still has a long way to go. Hopefully you'll like her even more when shes done! Post up pictures of yours! Postman what color blue is that? It really pops! Also rb25 or rb26? My plans are currently to build a new L28et to around 350-400whp but I the rb25 swap is just sooooo enticing! I love high reving motors
  16. Everyones cars are such an inspiriation for me to get off my butt and really get to work on my car. Here are some pics a friend sent me from a few weeks ago that he took at a weekly meet.
  17. Hey thanks for the help ritebor, I asked the seller how old this unit is and am waiting for them to get back to me.
  18. So I'm in a bit of a bind I'm not sure if anyone is aware but Tokicos US Distributor went bankrupt. There is no US stock left of Tokico struts and the earliest shipment is a minimum of 2 months away. They are signing a deal with a new distributor but there is no eta. I'm running Tokico blues and lowering springs on all four corners but my right front strut just blew out. I'm looking for a single front Tokico blue strut replacement new or used model HZ3012 or a pair of front Tokico Illuminias model BZ3012. KYBs aren't an option because they are supposed to be used with the OEM spring/height application and I'm running the Tokico strut/spring lowering kit. Does anyone have any extras around? Pretty please? I'd hate to waste the rest of the available driving months before I have to put her back in the garage for winter. PM me or email me at Patsito@gmail.com Thanks Pat
  19. Found out my right front Tokico blue strut is blown... I then proceeded to contact the place I bought the spring/strut combo from to try and get the warranty. Turns out Tokicos US distributor has gone bankrupt... No new stock until at least the end of the year as they are trying to sign a new deal with a new distributor... I guess I might have to bite the bullet and just buy a new front set of struts myself or try to find somewhere that has some Tokico blues in stock (which nowhere does...) Any ideas?
  20. Fixed the fuel leak and drove her around on Sunday. Everything seems to be working ok for now, *knocks on wood*. I've been meaning to post these, my friend did a nice mini photo shoot for my car at a local gathering a few weeks back. He made my car look better than it is! Excuse the dirtiness though I hadn't washed her in awhile and I didn't know he was going to shoot the car
  21. I tried to drive her yesterday with bad results. I pulled her out of the garage to warm up and step away for a few minutes. I come back to a puddle of fuel underneath the rear right of the fuel tank. I quickly shut her off and inspected the leak. Luckily nothing happend but it looks like my fuel damper is shot. Thats what I get for neglecting her for 3 weeks...
  22. I really want to do this swap as well. Highway driving for my Z is sometimes downright painful with the high rpms and all. Quick question, which years 240sx transmission are compatible with the 280z? I know 94 and 96 boxes are but not sure if all years are compatible. Also did you get a rebuilt unit or just a used one?
  23. That looks amazing! What kind of motor is that? It looks like a mini RB motor hah.
