Yes I get tired of my 71...Ive been building and rebuilding for 16 years. Brakes 3 times Engine 3 times Suspension...I forget howm many changes Interior all sorts of stuff over and over One new fender One replaced front bummper countless number of parts cars and special deals etc etc etc . . . . But people keep coming out with new cool stuff and ideas and I cant help myself.....ARGH...I gotta go down to the garage and work on her! Perhaps therapy will help?

With all due respect John , its a matter of style, presentation and consideration. Please review the manner in which the response was made. It sounds very disrespectful. You could have used the same amount of time and typed.... ""Smurf tubing has been discussed in length. As you see the two examples come across with a very different tone. The reason I support this forum is because of the strict guidelines the admins keep on content, behavior and overall direction of the discussions. Its a fun, clean, mature and informative forum. True enough!! One of the most difficult things to change on a S30...... if you dont have a press. Lots of pre-WD-40ing , a big hammer and a beer per side usualy gets the job done. CONGRATS! A tip for future removal....Before re-assembly I smeer that zinc anti sieze all over the spindle. Most of it wipes off but enough stays to make a difference. I hate doing it!

I dont see smurf tubing very practical. It may bend well but doesn keep its shape at all. It wants to straighten out. The beauty of the lego tubes is as Careless indicates..... Everything is measured out and easy to replicate off the car. Hey...if you do 5 custom jobs for your friends its paid for itself and then some!!!..a lot of $ome! Id like to see a smurf based rendering next to a lego rendering that is equaly as good.

Smurf tube is corrugated PVC flexible tubing used to provide an easy method of upgrading structured wiring systems. The tube is run from the distribution panel to each outlet during the prewiring construction phase. Retrofit wiring can easily be pulled through the tubes without painstaking cable snaking. The most common type, Flex-Plus Blue ENT, is manufactured by Carlon, Cleveland, Ohio. Workers nicknamed it “smurf tube” because of its distinctive blue color. Looks like the same stuff that came with my baracuda pool vacuum. Its not the same as the lego stuff....not nearly as adaptable.

One more...an option I have considered but never tried is to pop in threaded rivets and then just use an appropriate bolt with a small rounded head. They could be coloured black with a Sharpie marker. It may make life real easy.

I use these rivets...Nissan part# 66860-01W01. They are not any cheaper but completely reusable because the have a phillips head. You still press them in like original rivets but then screw them out instead of pushing the center post through. Just one thing....you need to redrill the sheet metal holes one size larger. Cheers

I believe they are the same size. Your sway bar bushing are just compressed and distorted from old age. Get new ones!!! Your ride will be much tighter.

I look at it this way...that Pantera is of vintage collector status....it made it this far because its unique and not "just a car" ..... it is a shame to see its not being taken cared for. Welding onto a casting is not always the strongest bond....but a pro welder Im not! More importantly why are you considering this?

I would try bleeding them anyway...its quick and easy and will lead you to somethig else if its not the problem. It sure sounds like air in the lines! Process of elimination!

Did you remove the calipers? If so you probably have air trapped somewhere.
