  2. Nice, I will check into it. I really appreciate all the help. I hate to copy someone else's work but I really like that front end. And I am more than willing to pay him for the time to make another if he doesn't mind. I can probably reproduce something similar but I am on such a time crunch right now that I doubt I have time. May be what it comes down to though.
  3. If you were near me I would give you mine. Too bad though.
  4. So, the owner of the car is coyotegary. http://tinyurl.com/7o4du5n His last post was in 2010 though, so if anyone knows him personally or the garage in the background I am asking to please let me know. Thanks to everyone.
  5. I tried calling this shop but apparently the number provided by Google Maps was their fax machine number. I didn't know if anyone actually knew the guy with this car. The IMSA or cobra kit(not sure exactly) car on the left looks familiar. I figured it was a custom job but since I am willing to build one or have built I would rather go to the source. Damn that car is beautiful though.
  6. wiring? on the RUN circuit? just throwing a quick idea out there. trying to get that free eats
  7. I have been looking at this pic here and there for over a year. I really love it and want my Z to more or less have this front end. Th Z to the right with that beautiful grille is exactly what I would love to have on mine. If anyone has something like it or know where to get it and the little bumper ends I would appreciate it. Thank you everyone.
  8. From what I know that seems about right.
  9. There is an insane amount of plumbing involved in a rear mount set up. For earlier Z cars there is plenty of engine bay room for a normal turbo set up so there is not much need. Rear mount is mainly for cars with not that much room for a turbo or to try and "hide" the set up. From what I have seen on this forum it would be much easier to just go the traditional route.
  10. If you decide to not get it I would be interested.
  11. Someone used some some serious amounts of Windex, I can't even see your front windshield.
  12. Looks great, exactly how I am going with my Z.
  13. I would not have bought a Z when I was 16, therefore not have fallen in love with sport cars or cars in general, in turn not making me choose mechanic as a career, and would have became a doctor instead and would have just bought a Aston Martin like my buddy who did choose the other path. And I would not have run on sentences either.
  14. JTR (Jags That Run) sells a book with complete instructions amd all the mounts and "kit" needed. It is a lot more straightforward than you might expect. http://www.jagsthatrun.com/Pages/Datsun_Z_V-8.html
  15. Old Z with a LS engine done right. I miss my 350Z and prefer it over the 370Z and if given the chance would buy it back. You know what, I changed my mind, I would take a 350Z LS engine car done right, haha. But once I finish my 280Z LT1 and get to drive it around I may change my mind again.
  16. I can't say for sure what all reasons the 280Z tach is better but I do know that it is needed for the v8 swap due to the internals being different. All the other things you mentioned I have no idea about. I also did not see many if any topics about a 280Z tach being better than the 240Z but then again I was looking for anything like that since I already have a 280Z.
  17. I went with a LT1, but after reading a post here about running the 5.3 LS1 I will probably go that route next time. If you plan on 500+ hp I guess you just need to start searching out what engine and price fits your budget and style. I imagine though you will not get many responses here because the way you worded your questions. Basically these type of questions has been beaten to death here and there is so many topics to search to get all your answers.
  18. You need to know what trans you have and hopefully the drive shaft from the car it came out of will fit. But, if it does not then you may need to have a shaft made for it.
  19. pay for gas and a greyhound back and i would do it
