BillZ260
I really like the new classifieds but it seems like most of the product being sold there is from members with few or no posts. I guess I have been burnt ONCE too many. I would like to see a 100 post minimum for sellers. It would show that you are established and have an authentic passion for the HybridZ and it's community here. I like to think that the parts being sold are being sold from and to 'buddies', not guys coming on the board just to sell their stuff. I am not saying the non/new member product is not good and that you should trust all members selling on the classifieds. I am just voicing my opinion about something I would LIKE to see here. datsunlover
I have to agree with that man. It just sort of bugs me a bit when you see a bunch of postings for items for sale, and they only have 1 or two posts as members of this board. Like they only signed up on this forum to make a few bucks.... It's like the feeling you get when you read a bunch of bad feedback on someone on Ebay..'Hmm.. think I'll pass..' You know? I'm not trying to attack any of the new members here, but it's just my feeling on this topic.
JMortensen
Well, just to give the opposing viewpoint, I just placed an ad at zcar.com a while back and also placed one here. I NEVER post at zcar.com or read any of the crap they're doing over there. One of the members here (280Zone) responded to my ad AT ZCAR.COM, and I bought a diff from him. I don't think the classifieds here are very user friendly here which is maybe why 280Zone responded to the zcar.com ad, and I hate the way people will jump in on someone's post and say "We are also selling x, and we've got it cheaper" or whatever. I liked the old system, post your ad, nobody can respond. That kept the bickering and the sales theft to a minimum. I think the ads should be from whoever (no minimum post requirement), but I do wish we had a feedback mechanism. I worry about sending a check to someone I don't know, but so far I've had only excellent results and I wish I could tell others about the good experiences that I have had so that they felt comfortable dealing with these guys. Guest ON3GO
i do like the old sell/buy setup forum better too, but i do agree that there should be a limit of posts you should have before you can sell things over a 100 bucks or so. BillZ260
limit of posts you should have before you can sell things over a 100 bucks or so. 1-up on my suggestion! Cheap, little bits and pc's, no will care to try and pass off something like that and if so it's just some change. It is the big ticket items that I was mostly directing my thoughts towards...so anything over $25 or $50. $100 is a bit steep for me. But good thoughts! Thanks Mike
Synlubes
I don't think the classifieds here are very user friendly here . . .Jon I don`t like the fact that you have to get out of the forms to view the listings. I would much rather be able to view posts right along with buy / sell ads. Maybe not a 100 post limit but some means of knowing who’s a squatter and who’s not. Brad-ManQ45
It was much easier to scan through stiff the old way, rather than jumping around...
z-REX
if i could play devil's advocate... i might have just gotten lucky but i bought my car from a 37-post member...and it was better than the ad. there are reputable people out there. we've just been jaded by all the scum that bilks people left and right on the web. so what's to do? feedback system gets my vote, but how does that stop somebody from getting screwed in the first place? :
Guest Aguyandaredhead
But Bill, that means I can't sell anything. I guess you should just come over and get all the stuff I have. I am running outta room and I better start moving some of it. J/K I think that I see where he's comming from but there needs to be some form of feedback system. I think that would be more effective. I myself was almost burnt buying from someone why only posted here for a sale ad. After much digging and then harrasment I got the stuff..I was lucky many are not. I'll see your .02 and raise you a nickle.. Jeff
johnc
I would like to see a 100 post minimum for sellers. So, I just do 100 BS posts in the Test/Area 51 forum and I'm ready to go.
BillZ260
So, I just do 100 BS posts in the Test/Area 51 forum and I'm ready to go. Sure, but at least I have something to look into before I buy from you. I see what you are saying but, I like to see why type of posts and info these guys put up. Anything is better than nothing... But Bill, that means I can't sell anything You need to be more INVOLVED Jeff You are almost there!
Sparky
I really miss the old classified forum, it was nice to be able to see what new adds have been posted when I clicked on the "view posts since last visit" since the classifieds have changed, I have not made any purchases, or tried to sell anything through hybridz.org. its a shame really, asim looking for another 240Z and would love to purchase one from the memebers here, but it seems to me that im not the only one that uses the classifieds area alot less than i used to. anywho... Tim240z
Remember...there was a reason why the old buy/sell/trade forum was abolished.....too many flame wars....too much disrespectful replies etc etc....lots of folks seemed not to read &/or adhere to that forums rules....sooo...... Mikelly
I have started ACTIVELY deleting posts where ANY of the vendors post the whole "I've got it to and mine is better because..." crap. disappointingly, I've had several vendor I generally hold in high regard pull this kinda crap and I for one have started targeting these posts... Just deleted one several posts and Bill your's and Mike's (ON3Go) rebuttles... We are looking at this guys. But there is no way I could recommend to going back to the other way. I absolutely HATE the new forsale board, but it does away with the BS that went on before. Mike 8)
A. G. Olphart
I used to read the ads- I don't anymore. Scanning down a forum to see what was available was fun. First recalling a list of parts that I need or could use, then looking for them in their own areas is a pain.
EvilRufusKay
Every once in a while I just go to the classifiesds and hit "recent ads" that way you can see all the ads placed since the last time you looked.
