datsun40146
I see the shed in your future, so ahead and empty this post before the admins delete it. You can find all the info you need if you search.
rztmartini
why? single turbo setups are easier, cheaper, and have proven to be very powerful. plus, theres not much room on that side of the engine bay anyways... not being negative, just curious, as i own a TT manifold for the L28... GrayZee
Yeah, I don't see the point of twin turbo's unless it is a V engine. Unless you are looking for some sort of bling factor. I've also heard the old one about two smaller turbos spooling faster than one big one... Well that simply is not so as you would only be feeding it with half of your engine. It's just a more complex, cramped engine bay with double the amount of plumbing needed.
rztmartini
Of course, none of this is to diminish the endeavors of 1fastZ for a TT L28...but im sure that is different entirely
jeffer949
and he had alot more room to work with because of his crossflow head and the fact that his car was RHD
Tony D
and he had alot more room to work with because of his crossflow head and the fact that his car was RHD Yet people still ask me why I like FairladyZ's so much more than US Spec Vehicles.... ARiskyCvt
I like the idea of a twin turbo than just 1 big car. I myself am very interested in and I am looking for a good manifold. but DAM trust wants 1500 for it ARHHHHH..... I just got to wait. Just love the idea of a smaller turbo spinning a bigger turbo. That wouldn't be twin turbos then. Twin turbos are spooled separately by separate cylinders. You are thinking of sequentials, I think. 83zed owner
am planning a twin turbo i know all of you ask WHY???? o well i took off my a/c condensor today, and i think two small turbos fit in fine with a custom manifold.

rztmartini
Nope. TrusT manifold. Only problem is that it has those wimpy T28 flanges on it...this will be eventually going on a rebello 3.2...
1 fast z
From my twin experience, those ex housing are WAY small for big power, compresser housings are also. I would definitly weld on T3 flanges. I couldnt really make any more power than 550 rwhp with TWO zx turbos.

rztmartini
well that is just the turbos that the guy included with the manifold! i wonder why they were using these in the first place if they were too small? but that was the first thing i said when i opened the box: "Aww how cute those turbos are!"
