  1. "Rust Zero" or "POR 15" You can use the crap rust converter stuff that they sell at any schuck, napa, .... so on, It will do the job, but that stuff doesn't adhere to the metal very well. So when you start sanding, on the edges, where the "paint" is exposed, it will start peeling like rubber cement.
  2. I guess I'm a functionality type of guy. I wouldn't be able to live with the rear lack of a window
  3. next time mix some fibergass filler resin in with the bondo. It won't stop moiture, but it will help.
  4. Why a countach? There are better cars that he could of tried to replicate .
  5. Curious on how few segments is needed for to make a exhaust pipe and if there is a company that sells oval ss piping.
  6. Claybar takes off particlents not oil stains, and in a bed of a truck, its not worth wasting a claybar over.
  7. Gives you an excuse to go tube chassis I second John. Its more trouble than its worth.
  8. IIRC, the sensor is a photo cell and IR emitter and won't distinguish which way the wheel will be rotating in orientation to it. It reads off whether there is light being reflected back or not. On that note, would polishing the high points on the teeth be worth doing?
  9. I have squirrels living in the pine trees in my yard. I didn't drive my jeep for like 4 months, because of I was oversees. When i first start the jeep up, I heard this crunching noise. When i opened my hood, there were pine cones in all the tight nooks and crannies. I had a good laugh
  10. phosphorous is what helps plants grow greener. My mom mixes some of this in the plant feeder for her garden. I'd rather do the electrolysis method. There's no film to brush off.
  11. 2 ways Heat or cold. cold, you get some dry ice and freeze it and chip at it. Easier imo and less messy.
  12. you'd be right I got it at walmart of all places, like $3.50 a bottle
  13. For some who claims to be an expert, he needs to practice a couple passes with his TIG. I would understand SOME of what he was doing, if he was doing everything himself, but it looks like he has a couple workers and a shop. Scary I'm curious on how "Well" the car would run EDIT: wtf is up with the springs on the turbo housing on page 14? EDIT again : I don't understand why someone would go through all that much work. Its like doing everything twice. And why wreck a clutch to make one fubar'd one . no more response from me until I'm doing reading
  14. I've seen worse. A piece of steel, some rivets and a tube of silicone would of done wonders.
  15. Basically phosphoric acid in diluted in a gel. I just dripped a little on my crap bumper. results after a couple minutes
  16. Found leather equivalent at schucks for $115 for a single seat in store. Might cheap if you guys can find it (Alaska has sales price marked up because of shipping and anchorage has no sales tax )
  17. Thought some of you CAD guys would enjoy this http://revision3.com/systm/laserscan/?autoplay=true
  18. "stain" defines it. the paint is stained. You can try buffing it to cut some of the paint to remove the stained parts.
  19. They need to go back and redesigning with retro in mind. I mean look at the mustang and chargers. Everything doesn't need to be rounded.
  20. I don't trust anything that says "perfect" that many times. Nothing's perfect.
  21. I think they should go away for the the 350z general shape. All their freakin cars now look like 350z at a glance.
  22. Counter rotating doesn't necessarily result in balance. From what I can tell, the eccentric on the crank is used for the valve timing. I could only imagine the amount of vibration that it would produce (really, I could only guess). I keep a pessimistic view when it comes to engineering, because thing rarely work as they should the first time out
