  1. Larger doesn't mean safer. There was a series of F150 that had the worst safety rating of the time.
  2. What? I know there cousin. She never mentioned anything recently. It doesn't seem like she knows.
  3. yeah those laterally oriented V6-V8 engines are a PITA. Had a stealth, loved to drive it (even though it was a heavy pig). hated working on it .
  4. Just until 2 years ago, the car manufacturer Morgan made their cars out of wood. Hope he realizes that he can make molds out of all the wood panels and make a CF frame.
  5. lol. lack of rust, and lack of a lot of things
  6. Just take some 16 gauge sheet and weld over it. It will tide you over until you can find a better chassis. As for the level of the rocker. It looks like someone did a crap job welding in a patch panel on the fender. Looking at the second photo how off the panel really is. Try to remove it and start again, its not hard to fab a patch from sheet for that area.
  7. rwd car. nothing extreme, but just something to drive around.
  8. I've been thinking of building a full chassis from scratch (another one) and was wondering, what car is readily available that I can scavenge suspension pieces or whole sub frame off of, or if there were packages available.
  9. I think there was no coolant. They only had to run it 2 minutes at most. Tranny was probably an auto. Fuel line was probably quick disconnect some how. Axels, I have no idea, maybe putting them in AS they were dropping it? To have an engine run that long, you can have a lot of things not connected
  10. Ehhh. Thats moderate compared to how mine was. My car is literally in half now
  11. These cars aren't really worth that much to begin with, so don't let the possible amount earned later, sway your judgement.
  12. I would think that the U-joints would go before anything else. HP doesn't cause bolts to shear, its the torque and how quickly its applied.
  13. Easier steering (rack and pinion) at lower speeds. But I do agree, staggered width size invites understeer
  14. I would check to see if yo have a leak and check fluid levels first.
  15. I would just go with the standard brass/copper bearing. The bearing is suppose to wear. It only have friction applied when the clutch is depressed.
  16. All you would need is the dust shield to get your pattern and hole spacing.
  17. series has been finished for a while.
  18. nope. Everybody else, buys from tabco and pricemarks them up. Tabco, is probably the cheapest you're going to get, unless someone sells you them privately.
  19. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=139983 It was me . Not really CAD, directly. It needs to be converted from point corrodinants to vector mapping, or was it the other way around . Well since you have it all in there, might as well make a few improvements
  20. I thought stillen made a kit a while ago. If it was there, its not there anymore. They make one for the 350z
  21. Yes. its perfectly legal. It would get a kit car status, and most likely would have to be sniffer tested once. They could of changed the IM regs for kit cars, from last I looked and this is for the state california, so most other states are more lenient.
