  1. http://www.circuitdb.com/circuits/id/154 There you go. But to have the LEDs in constant (on) as the sequence progresses, you will need to add a few more parts. Suggestion: test on a bread board, then build your own PCB. You'll be better off doing things right the first time. Also: you can look for a knight rider scanner kit. Depending on which kit you you get, you will have to remove and rearrange the LED orders. Another better alternative is to find a suppler of ambulance turn signals and try to rewire the LEDs or wiring it to an existing fabbed circuit. BTW. those items are WAY OVER PRICED IMO. its only a 3 trigger sequence to 3 LED arrays. the effect that you get with a 4th link is only 4 parts per array (inless you have each LED with it. And the transistors act as a type of relay, so it doesn't necessarily need to be run off of the same power source as the controller circuit). That effect can be found here (step 4: driving the LEDs) http://www.evilmadscientist.com/article.php/CylonOLantern Hope this helps
  2. HID for $60??? That doesn't sound right But IMO, you only want projectors for HIs only. The easier HID Bi-throw lights, use a magnet that moves the bulbs for HIs and LOWs, which aren't good for projectors. Fo such style kits you want the housings that have a reflector cap over the bulbs. And yes ebay housings are crap. Stay away from anything that says crystal or diamond cut. The lenses will crack on you .
  3. Try searching for a 4017 IC and 555 IC. You can piece together a LED sequencer. If you want a faded effect, you will need a series of transistors and capacitors for each sub-circuit for each line of LEDs. It will give you faded filament effect. You can get up to, I think, 18 LED sequences. The problem will be when you have the hazards on and the other indicators, since you will have to run the whole thing with out a flasher. FYI: Do Not use a 955 IC to sub for a 555 IC.
  4. I find having patience is best. We all get into those "What do I do next" moments and try to rush things to be finished. But I find that when I find myself like that and take a break, things get done a lot faster, and less screwups. I spend the time planning what needs to be done next, what tools I need and what specs everything needs to be at.
  5. Ummm. I already posted such strategy 5 post ago
  6. Can't get any lighter than this I give you the Peel P50
  7. "PERSON" not people. Get your fact straight. And the guy was only 32 and only a part timer, not the usual senior that they have greet people. I try not be assocciated with a group that large. Mob mentality, everybodies IQ goes down . And 2 people that shot each other, they would killed each other anyways. It just happened to go down in a toys-r-us.
  8. I know. As short of a time that I worked in retail ( more like worked next to. I worked in the service department) I learned many things and how they use smoke and mirrors
  9. People who wait in line for those sales are idiots (I apologies if I offend anyone). I buy everything the week of. 1:The flyer is out on sunday, so you can see what stuff is on sale and at how much. 2:By the time beginning of thanksgiving week, everything is on the sales floor. 3:Most of the big name stores offer price matching. So I just go to where ever I bought my crap with the receipt and just go to the customer service and just have them pay me back the difference. This year I just went there at like 9 or 10. It was busy, but not insanely busy and I was out the door with my cash in about 15 min.
  10. The crack is because of old lead (metal). They lead loaded these cars, instead of using body filler (I don't think body filler was around that far back ). Unlike body filler, the lead is partially structural, but nothing to worry about.
  11. I used some masking take, then misted the panel with some crap primer, so you can see where the line should be. Them I start hand sanding, I used a 1 inch dowel and glues some 100 grit sandpaper just to shape it.
  12. gonna have a hellava time looking out the windshield
  13. gas just hit $2.99 in alaska. It was like $3.79 two weeks ago IIRC
  14. budget cuts, maybe? I stopped watching boob tube tv a long while ago.
  15. I heard that toyota is developing it with subaru (or fuji heavy industries, which make subaru and nissan parts. I don't remember exactly :S ).
  16. Every time the gif starts again, I stare, waiting for the straps to give way
  17. Instant wallpaper , or screensaver
  18. Ahhh~ memories. When gas was cheaper
  19. That is why I hate sales people. If I want to buy something, then I buy it. If its a big purchase, I research. I don't need someone wasting my time, just so that person can get a sale. If I really do need a question answered about something, I ask a real technical question, either they begin to lie to my face and i walk away before they finish, or give me a proper answer.
  20. So you work IT. I learned a while ago that dealing with other's stupidity and my quality of time being frustrated isn't worth the money. Network IT isn't so bad. You only have to deal with it when initially setting up the network, something is down, or upscaling and upgrading. And one of my pet peeves is when someone answers a question with another question, or a statement thats said like a question. You have no idea how much that happens in IT
  21. I see it . but a foot off the front portion
  22. I only like the mid section. I'm not a fan of the 350z style front and the rear looks like a cross between a 350z and a porsche. And I think the A, B, C pillars can be angled in more, or keep the angles and step those in about an inch or 2.
