Why not just put a third strip and make it the reverse?

Idk about your area, but up in alaska it is mandatory that the owner be notified 24 hours before towing, whether that be a sign at parking or a written ticket on the windshield. The APD don't really do anything until someone complains about a car and after the complaint, they sit on it for like 2 or 3 days before doing anything. Was it in a public lot? If its a private lot, then I would talk to the owner, they are usually the ones that responsible to have a car towed off their lot. I've read a article of a guy that had his car towed (not repo'd) on a private lot without the lot owners permission and went to court and won agaist the local PD. The lot owner is the one that has to file the suit though. Might want to look into the policy in your area.

this is actually more common than most might think. I saw a ram 1500 (I think it was, or was a chevy) left front wheel fly off on a 45mph street. Luckily it was on a street that turning a slow left and the guy was on the outside lane. I still chuckle remembering that one. There was a thread a while ago that was linked to another forum where a wheel smashed into someone's windshield 0_0. Glad to hear that you're all right and that there wasn't a major accident. I would check you lugs and if you have a chance, rebalance them if you have Mag or aluminum wheels. those weights could have fallen off.

It should be ok, if you're using it to only amplify the volume. I would be more concerned about the sound car you will be running. Some cards don't take too kindly to ac to dc 12v too well, even thought the actual computer is fine. You might get some crazy artifacts or feedback coming from the sound card, like when the HD spins and other things like that. I had one that made noise when I moved the mouse. Another thing, crap in crap out. The better source, the better the sound.

Just interested before I spend a sh*t load in trying to maKe my own. I don't want to make them if I don't have to. And I have a trick little door hinge setup that I want to try, but the weight of the metal door concerns me. For those that have done FB molds before, what are the procedures you used and the "Oh, I should of thought of that happening" I might come across? I've messed with FB before when I helped fix a huge hole in my dad's boat, but thats about it and was a while ago. Won't be able to try untill I get back from korea (working) and that won't be for another 2 months O_O EDIT: maybe this should go in the fab area. admins/mods please move if you think it should.

I'll say that it would be interesting, but wouldn't say that I would be interested in buying, untill I see the actual product. He can make a single set and have you post to see how many people would be interested. If not many, then you can just sell the molds.

What tire brand and size does everybody recommend? I've been meaning to get a certain set of wheels from ebay for a while. 16x8 with a +38 offset. I have a set of 4 to 5 lug adapters that adds +50, so about +12mm more sticking out. Is that a lot? Would I need flares or do I just need to roll the fenders? They include tires, so they need tire size and brand before they can ship.

make sure that the plugs ON the headlights are plugged in all the way. Had the same prob on my jeep.

could also mean that you need new bushings for the front diff mount.

You can always try to find a Z'er thats going to be traveling and see if someone can take it along for you. Or you can take a little weekend trip to FL.

I feel ya. A couple months ago, some one tried to swipe my 06 civic when I was buying groceries. The guy pick pocketed my keys when I was looking through the magazines. I was walking towards my car as I realized it. I ran back to customer service (luckily there was no line) told them what happend and they brought up the cctv footage. I ran back to the car (again luckily I parked at the far end) and it was still there. Hid behind a ram 1500 and waited. I heard the civic chirp and some jerk was running around with my keys pressing the lock button with who I assumed was his son. I bust out with my iphone a took a pic. Guy asked if these were my key and said that I "dropped" them. I start cussing him out and that I have 2 proof of evidence and how stupid he was for even trying that when theres cctv all over. He threw the keys at me and ran away into the store. I go back to customer service and told them what happened and showed them the pic. the newbies working got a little fun that day. The guy had a good 6 inches over me and I wished he would have given me a reason to throw down. I'm still pissed over it. Hope your friend finds his car and in one piece.

I'm in the process (prolonged process) of dropping at KA-t in my 280z. The chassis isn't ready for the engine yet. And I have yet to source a IC and haven't decided whether I want to run a tuned OEM ECU or run megasquirts. Whats really holding me back it that no one has come up with a wiring scheme for the distributor portion of the MS setup on a OBD-II engine. I came up with one a while back, but I don't want to test that and end up frying my dizzy or the MS.

I want a tach and speedo that matches. Yes, I can use that in the stock dash, but then I have a 2 tachs or a big empty whole. Even though that one is a little over $200. And the Panel gauge, its easier to make speedo adjustments.

Well. I found a solution. I don't what to "not" use the stock dash, but if I must. SO I figure I'm going to have to build a custom dash. Who wants to by my stock one? Banging on aluminum is going to be fun

Umm. thats kinda obvious. FB door skin? Why not just make a whole door. I doubt anyone makes JUST FB door skins. I think it would be easier to find a 240z or a early 260z door.
