  1. Is it an different on the higher band of the RPMs? if it runs better then it could be the connection to the TPS. Just clean the connections.
  2. If you can locate the leak, then take a propain torch to it with some plumbing solder. Thats of course if the area is cleared of wires and hoses. You can also try the egg trick. Just be sure to fill the rad before you start the car, even though you have a leak. How big is the crack anyways?
  3. I have to agree with that, but the tabco panel should replace the whole rocker. You will also need to get a set of front lower quarter panels to replace the ones that will be removed in the process.
  4. Always when sanding resin. That should go without saying, but some of us need a reminder from time to time(myself included:mrgreen:).
  5. Mines not fading yet (last checked in october. snow). I put like 3 cans of clear. Good to know what is good if I'm gonna be selling a car
  6. hmm. interessting concept. but its been done before in japan with a L28TT IIRC. making like over 800hp. Saw a vid a while ago. It was a drag car though.
  7. Also, its not ideal for a track car since the engine is located so far forward for the platform. drag car yes though. there isn't any real way to move the engine back more inless you re-engineer the whole front drivetrain. the front diff is located inside the oilpan IIRC. Even the GT-Rs have problems from understeering because of the weight. now imagine what it would be like if you put it on a lighter chassis with the similar drivetrain location. Before I was thinking of a suby setup but there engines crap out pretty easilyh compared to others. That, and I'm lazy
  8. visual. should look like a egg carton texture. inless its been machined or grinded on.
  9. Oh I totally forgot about this thread. I need to post those pics, now don't I.
  10. Thats honestly not bad. Is that edge rolled over? Body panels always need adjusting. I would of said somthing else if the CF mat was in the area that need to be sanded off. Those fibers can be a pain when sanding.
  11. Thats how I painted my hood. Flat black, wet sand and a couple coast of clear. Its a pain to do it outside though and waiting for the paint to cure I'm (very impatient). All from walmart. Looks great.
  12. That is pretty much "recirculating ball" steering (as on the powersteering 280zx). 3 problems with this: weight, lack of the rack and pinion, and the hastle of relocating everything to fit the TT setup.
  13. I thought the L28 was rear sumped? I would say, just turbo the LD (turbo plus desiel = good for air and economy, that would be my excuse anyways ) and cam it. It would a nasty little desiel car.
  14. Awww Alaska isn't invited? Can't get much northwest than that.
  15. Lol. thats nothing. I'll show you pics of mine. lol
  16. Can you set this up with same features as what Big Phil is running? I like the feature of how you can adjust the speed of the w/g actuation like on his setup.
  17. the standard use of hiem joints on those "bling" bars, are to have an adjustable preload on the suspention. not all cars are made EXACTLY the same. I wouldn't say that those will not help. It will, but the way strut tower bars are to stiffen. (you all probably know this, but for those that don't and for those who can correct me ) Imagine the x-member and the strut towers as a incomplete rectangle. Now when you load one side (as in cornering) it will cause it to warp more into a trapazoid. Now a bar will complete the "rectangle." The "bling" bar will help the towers from changing inward and outward, but will cause it to change to a rombus in cornering. Now a "solid" will keep it more of a regtangle and keep it camber, toe-in and other suspension settings stable and more static as far as the frame is concerned in cornering. (go ahead and correct me if I'm wrong)
  18. thus the reason fo rthe camera
  19. Don't think it will work with the US Zs. its going to have issues with the steering linkage (left hand drive). If the front turbo flange was lower and the rear higher then maybe.
  20. Jeremy Clarkson's voice (top Gear). "The horror, the horror"
