  1. Darius was in a wreck a while back. If you look in the video and pictures section, there should be some of him trying to do a wheelie on the freeway and fell off. This was 2 to 4 years ago I think. His absence in the Z world stems from his "Servin' it Up" videos. He just released the third. My x-girlfriend's older brothers (all East Bay Rats) just went to a release party for it. As far as I know, the flares are on the car, but they need finishing work and paint. I'm not sure what else is going on, but I'd bet he's busy with the stunt bike thing. Its what makes him his money. Actually, I'm going to go see a friend who used to be best friends with his cousin. I'll find out what's going on. Oh...my friend actually rode in the Z once. She says there are actual fingernail scratches in the dashboard.
  2. AntiVIR. Do a search on google. Great program, continually updated, German made, and FREE.
  3. I'm going to go with much heavier than a SBC or SBF, and a bit lighter than BBC. Depends if it has the 4-valve heads or the 2-valves. Those things are huge.

    LS7 teardown

I think its going to be more than that. Maybe closer to 20K I would think.
  5. I had my bent unibody on my 91 Honda Civic straightened for $400.
  6. Point is, you'll make more power with a cooler intake charge. Doesn't matter about the timing or compression. You can just do more of each if you want with the water.
  7. I started to find some of the things I was reading at one point. I did this before I had little to know clue what I was reading. I'm a little better now, but still not great. Here's the link: http://www.pollutionengineering.com/CDA/ArticleInformation/features/BNP__Features__Item/0,6649,134644,00.html A few of the things I was pointing to had to do with the reduction of NOx gases which frees up more O2 for more power and a more complete burn of the hydrocarbons in fuel. I'll keep doing more research until I can find the article I orginally talked about.
  8. It was something during the combustion process and I haven't had enough college level chemistry to prove it. I'm trying to remember back, but it was to do with CO2 and water. I didn't believe it myself, but the guy proved it. I'll see what I can dig up on these forums from my previous posts.
  9. I've mentioned a few things on here about the new Cobras (03 and 04 models), so I thought some of you would be interested in this: http://www.musclemustangfastfords.com/0501mmff_videos/ The cars are just beasts with a few mods and amazing with a blower swap. These cars still have the 6-speed and IRS rear end. Makes me want to get slicks on my mom's and see what it can do down the strip.
  10. This was something I learned from a few political science classes (international relations and comperative politics): It is extremely difficult to force anyone (or any culture) into democracy. They will find it when they want to. Maybe our current administration moved it along, but we will soon find out if the majority really wanted democracy or not.

    Mufflers that last

These are quality exhaust systems that I've had experience with: Magnaflow (lifetime warranty), Borla (lifetime warranty), and Thermal R&D (really quiet on my Honda, great looking, and lifetime warranty too). All are great quality and have an assortment of options. Rule of thumb (as I've heard), the bigger the muffler, the quieter your exhaust will be.

  13. My friend and I live in the area. There's a really good burrito place in Fairfield if you want to stop there on the way out to the drags. Its called Adalberto's. Anyway, we'd be up for meeting you guys, we're only right over the bridge, about 20 min away.
  14. I'm in Pleasant Hill also. I've met Foster and a few others, but it would be cool to get together and meet everyone. I have a friend who's into something entirely different too (Volvos).
  15. Its a returnless fuel system. Might not be the greatest idea unless you mod it to a return style one.
  16. Lets just say there was an unfortunate accident with my friend's heavily modified 740 turbo and some drifting. Hit something pretty hard and the car only had some scratches. Tough cars. Another brand of cars that are really tough are Saabs. My uncle was hit head on, on the freeway, by a drunk driver in an older Toyota pickup. My uncle lived, with some pretty bad injuries, but he lived. As did his wife at the time, and my cousin in the back seat (who was only 12 months old at the time and in a car seat) came out without a scratch. The drunk driver got what he deserved ultimately and didn't live through the thing. A little off topic, but that is the reason I think all drunk drivers should be stripped of their license for life and shot in both knee caps.
  17. I was gonna say that there is no 2005 Cobra, but someone already chimed in. I do have some tentative specs for the 07 Cobra that should be out by Spring or Fall of 06. 3 or 4 valve heads, 4.6 to 5.4L, twin screw supercharger (same as the Ford GT with a smaller pulley), IRS, big front and rear brakes, and a few other goodies. From what I've heard it should be putting out around 440 to 450HP. Now, if the trend continues from the 03/04 Cobras then it will be putting very close to that number to the wheels. My mom's put out over 390 to the wheels with just exhaust and intake and hers is an 03. The beauty of the new Cobra, GT (not Mustang GT), and maybe Lightning motors is their over-engineering. The current Cobra will do a little over 600 to the wheels without any internal work. After that, the ring lands on the pistons don't hold up well. The Lighting is good for 450 to 500 to the wheels, and god only knows what the GT will hold up to. I've heard they are putting over 550 to the wheels, stock, and over 700 with pulley changes and a few other things. 9.8 sec 1/4 is BS and anyone with any minor knowledge knows that. I have seen a fully streetable 03 Cobra push high 8s. I do know it was pushing over 1000HP to the wheels running quite a big turbo. I believe it was X2C performance or something that built the car. Anyway, the Z will go much faster without nearly as much horsepower.
  18. When were you thinking of doing this? Could bring the Cobra down, because we need to check the power and af again.
  19. Its all in the adjustment, but my friend (who runs 15PSI out of a T3/T4 on his Volvo) and I (10PSI on my Honda) have not had the problems you describe with the HKS BOV. Plus, you can recirculate it with a little attatchment from HKS.
  20. Congrats on the amp choice. Looks like it fits your needs very well. I saw your previous post and I was going to say something about using an amp with a pass through, but it looks like you already took care of it. Too bad I don't live out in your area to hear it.
  21. I find the number of young black males on death row highly disturbing in Texas. What is the black population in Texas? Should the percentages of white, black, hispanic, etc. on death row closely match those of the surrounding population. Don't mean to get into anything, but the death penalty is disturbing to me for some reason. What happens in those cases where there wasn't strong evidence, but the person was convicted anyway?
