  1. I was going to say: look's like a FD3S but after checking the link, well, it is an FD3S so, I'll just shut up.
  2. They came in "Australia only" hollden VL Commodores and I think but, not sure, in some of the Australian built R31 skylines and only in single cam config.
  3. Was wondering the same thing as Sparks, did you paint the car the same color as the crane or is it the other way around LOL, keep it up, look's real nice.
  4. Some headers are coated inside also so, even if you remove all the coating you can see, there still could be a layer under your weld.
  5. Here is another one that understood the trick. http://cgi.ebay.ca/Chevrolet-G20-Van-Skynyrds-first-Tour-Bus-1965-Chevy-Van-Super-Straight_W0QQitemZ130044256256QQihZ003QQcategoryZ39411QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  6. Well Rusty, here is one hug and one patt on the back from Homeland. I've seen a nice magnet at your trustworthy CanadianTire, it's like a pen magnet but, instead of being a flimsy antenna thingy, it's like a thick copper wire that you can bend the way you want it. You could bend it and send it in the pan or trough the top of the chain cover. You can probabaly find something simillar at autozone
  7. Try this, Part#:96-304 http://blackdragonauto.com/icatalog/z/0064.html
  8. What would be the point of using an expensive wide band in this case? A normal o2 sensor would be enough but, 0-1 V. sensors are no good for tuning purposes.
  9. Well, if the tires burn out, that means the transmission is sending power to the rear so, I can't see any other options than something blocking the front wheels, maybe the big clunk you heard when braking was a caliper slider that either broke or was'nt tight enough and unscrewed, this would cause the pedal to feel normal but one end of the caliper will leave the carrier and lodge itself aginst the inside of the wheel and block it, don'l laugh, I've seen it happen. Could also be a front wheel bearing that seized.
  10. What was burning out??? Trying what???? Is the car auto. or manual??? You said you felt something in your front left wheel, that is not related to transmission, your car is RWD. Jack the car and check if that front left whell spins freely. Jack the rear and put it in gear "idle" and check if the wheels spin. Were your brakes allready grinding when it happened???
  11. What???? I'v ditched my L6 after trying to convert it to elec. ignition because I tought I had a carb. problem and I don't know s*#t about carbs.
  12. Can you show some pics of the damage, maybe this way people will be in a better position to offer advice.
  13. I had few offers for mine couple of them about 10 000$ CAN., the car is a 73, the exterior is in very good cond. but the interior look's like a crack house, I guess it all depends on how often you see an old Z in your area. Here in Canada, exept mine I'v only saw 2 running S30's in the past 5 years and they were a 260 and a 280. Since I had just got the car from Peoria Illinoi, (about 32h. worth of driving forth and back) I did'nt want to sell it. Plus, I'm not really sure they were that serious either.
  14. Something similar happened to me (on a friend's audi) after replacing the timing belt & tensioner, we started the car, whent for a ride and everything was ok, the day after, he called me to say that the engin had stopped dead in it's tracks while accelerating. "The NEW belt could'nt have skipped a tooth could it?" So, I remove everyhting again and WTF!!! On the Audi engin, the key is machined into the crank timing gear and it cracked, the crank spun in the gear, pistons hit the valves and bent all of the intake valves. Lucky for us though, the gear is alluminum so it just got machined off by the crank and it only cost 100$ for a new gear but, it costed 800$ to fix the head. edit: I think it was caused by the fact that his belt was so loose it must have kicked on the gear and slowly cracked the key, people, on Audi world web site, have reported similar events after replacing the t-belt.
  15. So, all in all, it's more rewarding to win in a 35 y/o car than in a more tech. advanced 20 y/o car + to me, the style of the s30 is untouchable. Then again, who cares about style when racing.
  16. Thanks alot to all of you guys, I'm contacting e-bay right now.
  17. First of all, you need to go share your "wife/relationship storie" in my "8 years allready" tread cause, not to many wifes are into cars let alone projects, Second of all, your wife is a verry lucky girl Third, it seem's like a good idea, lots of parts and info for cheap for this engine plus it's pretty reliable. In sutch a small car as the GT, it'd probably be a blast. Keep us posted as this is verry interesting, i say go for it.
  18. Well, they got impressed allright.
  19. Hi guys, last week or the one before that, I'm not sure, I bought a 200sx trough e-bay, I had posted it in "look what I got from e-bay for 504.99$" I was supposed to go down to new jersey to go get the car this week end, reserved a trailer, called customs to ,let them know I'd be crossing a car across the boarder, had all the paperwork organized and now I get an e-mail from the guy and he decided not to sell the car cause his dad is coming back from his country and he need's a car, is there anything I can or should do about this, does he have the wright to do this, I mean when I bid, it's like a contract and if I win, I MUST buy the item so, should'nt it be the same for the seller?
  20. I tried to order one but my credit card just ran away LOL.
  21. I just asked the guy yesterday and he said that he would'nt do it again, he said he did it only because he allready had the engin and he had to fab. mounts and mod. the cross member, used a greedy intake and coilpacks just as stated above so, in the end, he would'nt recomend it. He did'nt say anything about the tranny not fitting though.
  22. I think the stupid retard is the father who let his 14 y/o son start the car knowing he can't drive standard.
