  1. No, I don't have anymore blocks as I ordered only 4 to recoupe the cost of mine but, if I get enough demands, I can get more no problem trough the same guy. The thing is that it cost the same to get 1 or 4 shipped here.
  2. Here is my idea, I just want people's imput and ideas about it. I plan on using an A/C system to cool my air charge, I would fit the evaporator in a sealed box trough wich the turbo would blow. I know it has been done before, I think it was on an 2gen. MR2 and the post the guy stated that the air charge was colder ofter the cooler than it was when at embient temp. is that possible? I tought about this system to shorten to maximum the length of the intake piping and get instant throttle responce. Thanks.
  3. :icon14:Very classy. What are those vent. controls you have there? Look's nice too.
  4. Hi all, I was just wondering, did the site go down or anything yesterday? I could access internet normally but when I tried to log on HybridZ, I got a message that the page could'nt be found. I tried to check in this morning and it works but, hav'nt seen anything mentioned anywhere about this.
  5. I see that you finally got your soulmate, LOL. Let me know when you decide to start redoing floors and etc, I don't live THAT far and I never pass up the opportunity to work on a project. If I give you a hand that'll be the 6th car under my belt so, I know what I'm doing. Give me some news and we can try to arange something.
  6. I'd go with the Laguna blue but, with a dark blue tint in the last coat of clear.
  7. I like LagunaSeca blue on the BMW M3 and I wonder how somekind of TypeResque championchip white would look on a Z
  8. When we got the S-13 for our drift project it did'nt have an engine and since my Z is getting an RB, we jokingly said let's put the L24 in the S13 HAHAHA I'd never tought that somebody was actually doing just that while we were talking about it, my hat off to you my friend, nice work.
  9. For reliable 350-400 horses go V8. Other wise, I think the reliability of your friend's L28s are related more to 30 y/o wiring looms than the engine itself. Spend money and time on redoing the whole wiring and tuning the carbs right and you'll have a reliable L28. One more thing to think about is the fact that with the SBC you can find parts at autozone and simillar stores in the event that the car breaks down, it's easier to fix with an american made V8. Just my 0.02 though.
  10. that would be my guess too, maybe with not so sticky tires, the thrust would simply push the car around and it would'nt be able to stand still. Maybe it also helps keeping the car straight at those speeds.
  11. Don't worry, I' ve done one of my friend's 71 Challenger, the car looked pretty straight but, as we were watching the sandblast process, we felt like crying. There was so mutch Bondo on the car it was incredible, plus what had seemed like "not so bad" floors, finally ended up being nonexistent, in the end, we replaced rear left quarter, both rockers, both front fenders, floors, trunk floors, fraim rails, rear right wheel well and had to rebuild the firewall and front wheel wells. The most important part is preparation, do one section at the time so, this way, you see results quicker and it builds your confidence, keep the pillars for last once your skills have been polished a bit. Take your time and take it easy on the welds as you don't want to distort the surrounding areas and end up with an ill fitting car. Keep the pics comming. Good work so far.
  12. I'd like (but I think that's just me) some kinde of metallic millitary green.
  13. It's funny, when you look at a car mag, and you start adding all the HP+ the manufacturers claims there contraptions will bring you, how easy and inexpensive building a 500Hp car seems? Let's go, take an old mustang 5.0 around 200 Hp, add a P-FLOW (I love that term) good for at least 12 or 15 hp, then, why not add another 5 horses with an K&N filter to go with that thing? Now, let's install a big 20 to 30 hp exhaust, some 5-6hp underdrive pulleys, one of those electric s/c that'll give you around 30% more power + who would have known, better gas millage, why not one of those cyclone/vortech static fan blade in the intake good for at least another 6hp, plus a ton of sticker, goof for between 2 and 10 horses each depending on color and size and if and only if I knew half as mutch about cars as the guy you just described, I think I'd go for bigger injectors for my 4 barrel carb., how about that for a fast car?
  14. You were there, I missed it, maybe we could hook up next year and go together, the more Z's the merryer.
  15. Keep it up, maybe one of these days I'll see you up here in Canada, as we have lots of Americans that come up here to compete in our drift events and NY is'nt very far.
  16. I think that maybe with an longer stroke crank it just take a bit more time for all the mass of internals to accelerate as it's further away from the rotation axis.
  17. Verry nice, would it be possible to go a bit softer on the texture though??? I was researching ways of fixing my old dash and this look's quit "up to code" for me but, I'd like it if the texture could be somewhat more discret.
  18. Great, now I can just take all my notes I've started gathering and trow them away, this is infinitely clearer than what I had came up with THANK YOU, now I know what I want and need.
  19. Firs check you drive shaft & half shaft's u-joints for looseness, then check bushings for visual cracks and try to move them around with an pry bar. If everything is ok, you can start suspecting a diff.
  20. In fact, you have to accelerate backwards then, when you think your going fast enough, kick the steering 1/8 of a turn in one direction and when the car starts to slide around, send the steering 1/4 of a turn in the other direction, now would be the time to shift in sec. or third gear depending on how fast you did it. They tought us that little trick in my first "Welcome to BMW" class was really fun, although we had alot more room to pracice.
  21. That is indeed an serious offer, I sure hope you get the job, maybe this way we can all have access to a bit of millitary grade tech. for our cars LOL.
