Ok so I looked up the fsm on your year.
No o2 sensor.
The sensor that helps control mixure is the water temp sensor.
The thermadine switch controls cold start injector.
So when you engine is cold you are in a enriched state.
When that cycle is over the extra fuel is shut down and you are running on just your injectors.
At that point the fuel enrichment is driven by the wts amoung other divices.
Mark the afm so you can put it back to stock position and have a little fun!
Before that, clean the chts! Not only the connectors, but the probe as well.
Yea that is just a donor.
So someday I will have to take my ZX over there and pull the engine to see how things will line up.
I just love the straight 6, but if I can save a load.......
Plus the kit is should fit all kinds of old muscle cars and it is geared to older fellows that want to mod, but also want to stick with what they know (carbs).
I would prefer stand alone ecu and fi.
Just cause.
Just was introduced to the market a week ago.
Same everything, minus the turbos.
The pulls were in 2nd gear at 24psi.
The road was 16psi due to spanking the rev limiter!
The point was to show what the kit will do to that engine.
This is my long time friend and brother in laws newest project.
We are pretty sure this will fit my ZX and wants me to put it in.......
Any how the headers are rather fasinating and high quility.
So on to the show:
After many years of useing the jacks that came with the car, and extreamly cheap jacks, I finnally bought a costco jack, all alluminum, cost 140.
Post pic soon.
Any car I've ever owned passed emissions with out a cat, with flying colors as long as it ran write.
I even have a saab that may have a cat with no internals that passes great too. Plasma torch and tig welder and air chizel..........
I miss the old ceramic days;)
I take it you have the o2 hooked up?
I have never had a issue with the egr being blocked off.
Check very throughly for a intake leak, (kinda tough), then re torque.
Also read up on the efi bible, if you have not already.
