  1. Under the pull down for my user name at the upper right My settings Gallery --- this displays my current albums Create Album Then entered the name It doesn't seem to matter about all the other option I get the same error
  2. I can get to my old albums but I get the following error when I try to create a new album???? You are not allowed to post images in this category so there is no reason for you to create an album in it
  3. You're one up on me. I have not figured out how to upload into the gallery yet.
  4. Its that "can usually" part that worries me, LOL.
  5. One more question. I have the useless FSM and all they say is to install the bearings with no mention on how to do that. They do show a special tool to remove the outer bearing from the axle. Some research indicates I need to press the outer bearing onto the axle and the inner into the strut housing. Is that correct? I have no equipment to do that so I guess Ill take it all to the machine shop.
  6. I really have no idea how old the bearings are. I've owned the car for 5 years and the stubs have not come out in that time. The PO kept very good car of this car so maybe he changed them at some point.
  7. Now that I have them out, thanks for the tips guys, I see what you are saying. I thought they would be like the front bearings. So there is nothing left to take out now that the bearings are out?
  8. Its not the race I can't get out, although I will need those out eventually too. Its the actual bearings.
  9. These cars can be so stubborn. I'm doing my 5 lug wheel swap and started on the rears today. Since I had to drop the LCA anyway to get the halfshaft out I figured it would be easier to work on this thing if I just pulled the whole strut assembly, only 4 more nuts. So I get those out, get the stub axle nut off using a big ass pipe and drove the first stub axle out. It came out with the outer bearing still attached to the stub and the spacer came out too. But the second one was more stubborn. It seem to hang up about 3/4 of the way out. I got more aggressive and it finally popped out. But the outer bearing, spacer, inner bearing and seal stayed in the strut housing. I got the inner seals out but am confused about how to get the bearings out. How do you get these things out?
  10. deja

    New layout.

Its alive!! Its a little diffferent. Great job getting it up so soon, but so far so good.
  11. The only 4 to 5 lug adapters I have seen are 2" thick. While it would push your wheels out it will also mess up your offset unless your wheels are a 50 offset.
  12. I'm running TOKICO HZ3012 and HZ3013 struts and 2" lowering springs. I got the kit off EBay of all places. I got bump stops 88-715 from Black Dragon and spacers 23-4186 from zcarparts.com. I have a larger front sway bar, that made a huge difference in handling and removed the rear sway bar because it interfered with the JTR driveshaft adapter.
  13. I mounted mine with the setbacks on the block. I had to trim a lot of the spacer to clear my headers. If I were going to do it again I do it like nullbound did.
  14. WOW. That is the spoiler I bought on Ebay a few years back. It was old and needed a lot of work. At the time I had no clue it wasn't the standard BRE spoiler until I started going to a few Datsun shows. Nobody, including me seem to know it was a Victory spoiler or that the Victory even existed. Cool.
  15. I'm with 280zcar, obviously I like areos too.
  16. Since I no longer work for a living (retired) my home computer is on all day. If I am home I check this site a lot. Funny thing, when I worked my company monitored our on-line time. They eventually blocked HybridZ, I guess I spent too much time here!!
  17. I'm running a 3:70 with 25.5" tires and a 4L60E auto which only has a .7 overdrive not the double overdrive your T56 does. I see no problem. Going from my old 3:54 to the 3:70 was not really noticable.
  18. Trust me that car is a beast! Having lived in Ohio for many years before moving south I hear ya about the weather. But this year even here in Atlanta is too cold to paint.
  19. rytherwr's awesome wide body is now purple. Not sure how closr to plum crazy it is but it might give you an idea.
  20. I'm not running a rear sway bar, took it off because it hit the JTR diff adapter. As far as the axles go I thought that was only a problem with the 300zx CV's. I haven't heard anything that sounds like my 280zx axles are bottoming out. But I don't race the car except for the occasional drag race.
  21. When I first put 300ZX CLSD in it was very quiet. But it didn't take long before it would chatter on slow turns, like taking off while turning. I was told to add some friction modifier. I got mine at the local Chevy dealer but it really doesn't matter where you get it, its NOT expensive. It solved the problem. BTW the Lucas diff oil I used was supposed to have friction modifier in it, apparently not enough. As far as axles I am using 280ZX. They do require the companion flanges to be modified from MM.
  22. The setback plates do in fact get bolted to the block. Not sure what you have on that engine but it does not look like a JTR mount to me. And I agree with RTZ buy the book, it will save you a lot of headaches.
  23. Hmmm, good question, I guess I really don't know if the spacer and hub bolt patterens are different.
