  1. Uh yeah, its your tach. At 6500 rpm you should be doing 128.6 mph If your tach is accurate your would be doing 178 mph at 9000 rpm. I don't think you're doing that before you get to 1/4 mile!
  2. Quick check on EBay found one in Indiana http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-94-95-buick-park-avenue-3800-3-8-supercharged-engine_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem414b42039cQQitemZ280435491740QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
  3. Sounds like you've made some great progress.
  4. Cool, welcome back to the herd. So now you have no excuse for not coming to DNI.
  5. Thanks. The rear skirt is a highly modified Black Dragon. I added the flares to match the side skirts.
  6. That looks a lot like the one I got off EBay a couple years ago. Its 5 1/4" above the rear deck and leans back.
  7. Holy crap!!! I think I would probably have a heart attack if I ever got the wheels off the ground! Chassis work seems to be much tougher than engine work. Looking good Dude. Have a great Christmas.
  8. Awesome Wayne. And it didn't look like you really launch hard!
  9. Nice project. Looks like you have some structural work to do first.
  10. Its close to #306 Sterling Silver Met but has a bit more metalic.
  11. Did you use the JTR crossmember with the TH400R4? It looks like you could just mount it further back and use the stock 4L80E isolator to bolt through the JRT mount.
  12. The 4L80e trans is longer than the 4L60e transmission but from what I can see the mounting from the tranny to the crossmember is pretty much the same. Get the stock tranny mount for the 4L80E and you can either fabricate the cross memeber or use the JTR mount DAT-106 and adapte it http://www.jagsthatrun.com/Pages/Parts_DAT200.html.
  13. I was thinking he made the 2007 file on a different computer and doesn't have 2007 on his home PC. I had that association issue at work when they did an office upgrade but I can't remember how I fixed it. I think it was some setting in Excel itself.
  14. I just did a google search on .xlsx and got this: http://labnol.blogspot.com/2007/10/open-xlsx-spreadsheet-files-without.html Or it looks like you can update your current MS programs to run 20007 files: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HA100069351033.aspx
  15. Wow! "I was running out of cahonies". I heard that!
  16. Thanks, that's very cool.
  17. I got mine at O'Reiley's too, no problems.
  18. I picked up a couple Swastika wheels to mount some drag radials. Unfortunately the seller does not have the lugs and I understand they are special for these wheels. I need 8. Anyone have 8 they would part with?
  19. If it turne out to be your collector gaskets I recommend Mr. Gasket copper #7176C http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MRG-7176C/
  20. This is for a 280Z but its probably the same for the 260Z.
  21. I did not do that but Jody is the LT1 Guru so I would listen to anything he says. It certainly couldn't hurt. I did not wipe off any of the RTV. I've got 2600 miles on mine and I look at it all the time because the old engine leaked there and I know LT1's are know for that leak. So far all is well.
  22. If its leaking at the heads get rid of that RVT theory and get a set of Earl's gaskets http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EAR-29DA3BERL/ They are expensive but they work.
  23. I used Felco intake gaskets. I ran RTV along the front and rear block running it a little up onto the heads covering the end of the gaskets to make sure the seam between the head and block was sealed. Use a bead 1/8" to 3/16" high, you don't want any RTV to get indise the rngine. I used no sealer or adhesive on the gaskets themselves. I used Mike Mavrigian's "How to rebuild a LT1/LT4" along with the GM factory manual. Both said no sealant on the gaskets, only use RTV on the block. Did you use thread sealer on the bolts? They run into the oil galleries and need to be sealed. Torque the bolts in the proper sequence first pass to 71 in lbs and a final pass to 35 ft lbs. Make sure all mating surfaces are clean and dry before you put the gasket or RTV on. We used a lot of asitone to clean surfaces.
  24. After over a year I bet you are flying high its finally painted. Great job, looks awesome.
