So my dad is finally at that mid life stage. He has always wanted a vette since he was my age and is now in a position that its a very distinct possibility. His max he is looking to spend on a used vette is 10k. He wants a running working car. Not a she'll to drop an engine in. So what year/model do you think would be ideal for him? Best bang for buck, under 10 grand? Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated!

I voted that you get rid of it now and buy a used vehicle. New cars are possibly the worst investements you can make. And I might suggest you consider an older STi! Either about a 2000, or maybe even a 2 door 22b? If you want economy I'd suggest the nissan sentra spec v...those are fun little cars and get great gas mileage. I'd say you're also on the right track with the rsx-s/civic si. Great cars with lots of zip and reliability. Not to mention and endless aftermarket! Just my two cents. =)

I probably would never get anything done (right) if it weren't for my dad and jaymar(cleton-z) My dad helped me learn the real basic things (spark plugs, brakes etc) and jaymar "has forgotten more than I'll ever hope to know"
