    I found a way to solve my power problem. I just did the same as I did for my Z SMALL BLOCK CHEVY!!!!!!!! I popped for a good 350/700r4 combo and dropped her home here are a few pix.http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/rx7260z/lst?.dir=/V-8+RX-7&.view=t I hope you like them Keith

    Thanks for the info Scottie GNZ I put a four bolt flat-top 350 w/vette heads in with a 700R4 I still have the stock IRS w/4:10's and rear coilovers.     WOW this has gotten more complicated than I had expected! I just wanted a convenient place to hook up my pushbutton starter for setting valve lash. The heat issue was just an after thought. This is for my RX-7 hybrid the factory stater was mounted drive side I thought a ford solinoid would be a good junction for the extentions needed to mate the chevy starter to the MAZDA wiring(the jap version of LUCAS I'm sure) Keith

    Does this help with a heat soak/hot start problem? I don't like clearance between the solinoid (GM) and the header. Keith

    I'm putting a ford starter solinoid on my chevy powered 2nd gen RX-7 (or is it8?) does anybody have the scematic on how to wire this? I rember seeing one from MAD RIVER in one of my HOT ROD type magizine but of course now I can't find it!!! Keith

    Using that logic Drag tires are only good for 5 weeks? or does this only apply to road racing tires I know several semipro drag guys who use a set of tires for 2 seasons with no real drop offs in 60' times please keep in mind I'm not dicounting your knowledge I'm just trying to understand this Keith

    I may have a source for cheap used GoodYear Stock Car racing slicks that would fit my Z and RX-8. But my question is would these be any good for Drag racing or are the differences in the tires to great? Keith

    Can somebody help me I need a TV cable for my 350 rx7 I'm running a stock Q-jet on a stock GM intake. The TV cable bracket mounts to the back(firewall) 2 carb bolts I grabbed a few cables from the JY on sat but they were all from EFI cars and the distance from the adjuster to the slider is way to short Thanks Keith

    Hey comeandzpa You should register as parking will be a BEAR even if you know the area this way you just drive right to the spot and put a card in the window this is why I'm putting so much time into getting my hybrid rx-7 running in time Keith

    Hey zman I have been talking to Ian about there "kit" it would work but I would need to wait almost 3 weeks to get a set of mounts and his sets the motor to far forward for me to use the stock rad. But those first gen rex's sure do look cool!!!! I'm really trying to find a good recommendation about the gearbox granny kit. Keith
