  1. congrats Bo! I just started mine for the first time on saturday, although, its not FI. Even your XR-700 worked!
  2. got everything hooked back up today and all the wiring, trans filled, etc. Its idling at about 1800, and I need to figure out how to adjust the holley carb, but more importantly, I need a new radiator. While it was out of the car for a year, it must have been hit by something, because there is a small hole in the top of it that water started spraying out of when the motor got hot.
  3. 1987 70 -$1200 1990 72 - $1000 71 - $1000 1994 72 - $2500 2004 73 - $4500
  4. thanks for the help Andrew! I was just coming on to post about you helping me out. Great to hear it running again, after a year!
  5. not positive, but memory tells me its the parking light circuit, or some other external lights.
  6. Just got tickets to the Boston show! They went on sale at 10 this morning and were already sold out at 1130, so I got them on ebay for only about $10 above face value. Going to take my wife up there and see the sights for a couple days too.
  7. I need the 73 one, that has four or five large molex connectors with about 25 wires each, and then a few smaller ones on it.
  8. and I thought it was you who was selling! Sorry for the pm
  9. www.eatoncompressor.com my 5hp 60gallon will out perform any home depot 7.5hp 80 gallon any day. Its motor runs at half speed and is a true 5hp. It actually cycles on and off while I sandblast and I run it for several hours per day.
  10. black diamond is about $8 for a 50lb bag at northern tool
  11. Olds sold it to GM, their parent company?
  12. Yeah, my buddy has a cayman with the ceramic rotors. He said if they ever need replacing, he will just buy a set of stoptechs instead!
  13. oh yeah, insurance is cheaper on a Vette than a 350z also. A lot less of them get wrecked than do 350z's.
  14. sorry about your Z, but you will be very happy with the Z06. Its on par with the stock C6 performance, maybe just a little better (it definitely feels tighter in the handling department). My 350z had the stillen supercharger and lots of other mods and was no where close to the performance of my C6, even though on the dyno sheets, they looked about equal.
  15. one of the first things the video said was 'affordable'!
  16. probably. it is in the corvettes, but on the C5 many people have retrofitted the hud and used their standard windshield without the film, and its 90% as effective as having the film. The only problems reported are in bright sunlight, so I think its not really necessary.
  17. another interesting part of the stock wiring is that when you run your hi beams, all the current goes through the high beam indicator in the dash. Thats reason enough for relays for me.
  18. Like early Viper valve covers, what a pain in the a**! When I do plastics, I cure at 350-375 for a longer time period.
  19. Nice! Mine is 36x36x42. Anything that won't fit in it, I don't want to do! I'm overworked as it is, and actually wouldn't mind a bit of a slowdown, as I am working 40-50 hours a week on the PC now.
  20. I used the pregnant oven thing for a while before I got the bigger oven. It works ok, but the heat isn't always even for the largest of items. If you did the 2 oven thing with an extension between them, you would def. need a low speed fan to move the air and make the heat distribute evenly. Like OTM said, never use an oven that will be used for food to cure powder. The VOCs of powder go dormant when cold and reactivate when hot, so food would be contaminated.
  21. sweet!!!! They are a lot less expensive for the Datsun though, I am sure
