  1. Are you looking to go stock or modify? There are loads of parts for SR20's all over the web. If it happens to be an S15 and you want to go stock you may be hard pressed to find the OEM stock turbo; they don't pop up that often (had steel wheels I've heard). But they are still around. Otherwise, if my knowledge suits me, parts from SR20's swap between them all. You've just got VVT so better gas mileage.
  2. I usually see them every now and again on ebay. Just surf regularly. Heck, Ive seen an ultra rare 2wd N/A RB26 on there before. But those places who knows; Id call up my local reputable shop and see if they can get you one. Should be no problem.
  3. I have rb26 itb's and intake on my rb20 and they're sweet. Had an adapter made up. But on the z432 replica and rb20 with carbs: go to the rb section. There's a guy who converted to carbs with the intent of doing the exact same setup; z432 replica. Last I heard he was still trying to get it to run right.
  4. Can you use this in conjunction with your camber plates? Only for the front though. http://www.zccjdm.com/catalog.php/azcarbum/dt93255/pd1789104/CAMBER__BUMP_STEER_SPACER_ZCAR_http://www.zccjdm.com/catalog.php/azcarbum/dt93255/pd1789104/CAMBER__BUMP_STEER_SPACER_ZCAR_
  5. I'll probably be building a set of these in the coming weeks out of the ones I have at my house.
  6. Thats odd. Can you spin it normally? Like I know its journal bearing but you should still be able to spin it when the engine is off. Just wont spin as long as a ball bearing unit.
  7. I might be able to get you one. There's one in a junkyard down here. Won't be going until this weekend though.
  8. Doesnt collector car insurance now do like unlimited mileage? At least some do I hear. But it is not cheap by any means.
  9. True. I know ive spent way more on my RB swap than the 2500 it cost me to buy the thing. Ha. But not 80k though!
  10. The thing with the taillights is supply and demand. Like the euro 240z lenses going for 1000+. Its what people will pay for them. There are many people that want and few to be had. So people will pay the crazy prices.
  11. But again, 80k engine in a 10k car.... either way i feel its for nostalgic purposes/ bragging rights. There are easier cheaper ways to make power.
  12. What do you mean? Its a crossflow twin cam head like the RB heads. Design flows a little better than the stock L-series head. And the twin cam doesnt hurt. Its not exactly easy to work on or efficient to have the intake over the exhaust like the stock L.
  13. Id love to have one of these. But 80k for an engine in a 10k car......
  14. Id say go for it!! The BRZ is niceeeeee. Can you get those cool TRD bits for it though like you can the scion counterpart? Those body parts look nice to me; really accentuate the styling. But you can always look into the 350z. Always thought the NISMO ones looked amazing. Those can be had for around mid-high 20's. Or nice G35. Those can be reallllly cheap depending. Orrrr you can look into the previous generation genesis 3.8 track. The styling on those though is very subjective to each person.
  15. Ill try to upload my pictures when I get my wide flares from zforce. I have 16x8 -49 16x9 -51 with 245's and should be really flush if my calculations are right. Wont be much stretch but should fill out the wide flares. What I guess im saying is its all in the tire choice and offset. Just remember that if you go diamonds, I've heard theyre really heavy.
  16. I have a T3 off an early Z31 with 0 shaft play in any direction; have the awkward feed line to go with it. Asking $75 plus shipping.
  17. I would love to get a hold of a set of these!! Can't find definitive info though. Were they Japanese pieces or Euro pieces?
  18. Saw this on speedhunters. SICK is all I have to say.
  19. Could this lag (not due to the turbo lag) be solved with ITB's since we're talking about a totally custom intake? They wouldn't be cheap, but they would reduce the intake runner length tremendously. This lag is caused by the elongated distance between the TB and the valves, so when you step on the gas and open the throttle, it will take that air a while to travel the 26" to the head. With the ITB's in place, this length for the air to travel would be reduced. Referring back to the original post, why can you just run an angled spacer? Just thinking aloud here; but one like this off Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/T4-TO-T3-TURBO-FLANGE-ADAPTER-W-ANGLE-CA18DET-KA24DET-180SX-RB25DETT-R32-/200833291856?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2ec298d650&vxp=mtr Granted, it is a T3 to T4, but you could cut off the T4 flange and put on a T3 flange or whatever flange turbo you are running. But I'm not sure the clearances with the framerail and steering and such would be.
  20. Sort of unhelpful, but if this had been a week ago I could've pulled some for you. There was a Z in the local junkyard with a full set of tokico springs. Hope there are some alternatives for you though!
  21. I also have a T3 off an early Z31 with steel wheels and 0 shaft play.
  22. I can't say I like the seats or the door panels. At least they match though.
  23. Um I do not believe you are entirely correct there. Yes, the slots are there to disperse the gas; the surface area you lose by the slots is offset by the release of the gas pressure. However, they don't sacrifice really any braking ability. There's a reason race cars like the Corvette C6.R use slotted rotors; they're pure function. They seem to work well for them and a lot of other race cars; if they didn't I'm sure they would've switched away. When drilled rotors came out they were the thing to have on race cars but because of the extreme stress put on the rotors under hard braking, the rotors would crack because each drill is a point from which to stress crack under repetitive extreme braking situations. (Now I will say that the new carbon ceramic rotors they are fitting to the high end GT race cars are drilled. I'm sure that has something to do with the rotors construction. But for all intensive purposes I don't think we're talking about them here) But again this is all racing. Street use there really isn't a need/use unless you want the look.
