  1. It looks like he cancelled all of your bids except for one.
  2. $400 for a good running car with rear end damage is a fair price. If you rent a car it's $200 a week depending on where you rent it from, it's only going to be a beater anyway. Use the car for a year and just go to Pep Boys for their $99 for a set of cheapo tires when they wear out.
  3. Since we already have a number of guys running LS1's who's gonna be the firsts for the LS2's, from what i've read the mounts are identical to the LS1. It comes pretty much complete except for Pulley, belt, power steering pump, air conditioning pump, starter, alternator, and engine covers are not included. http://www.paceparts.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=128877&HS=1
  4. Have you ever thought of just buying a replacement carb? Kinda like these. http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=695&prmenbr=361 or check out their selection. http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/CategoryDisplay?cgmenbr=361&cgrfnbr=641
  5. I just donate to my church when they ask to make a collection for the Tsunami victims i let them figure it out. At least the church doesn't take out 25% for office expenses, they only collect that on the second collection plate.
  6. Yeah with debt out the "whazooo!" We got quite a few members here in the DFW area.
  7. I was just curious, even the best shops makes a mistake once in a while. It's like what Lone Star 1 said i hope they do right this time.
  8. Buy a new Qjet with an electric choke, it will make your life simpler. If you buy another brand like Holley make sure you buy an adapter because the bolt patterns are different.
  9. It's obviously not Mikes JTR because of the spacers, they're triangular compared to the aluminium "T" shaped ones. Being leary of E-Bay i'd rather buy from Mike. On the lighter side at least he's plugging the JTR book.
  10. It sounds like that the previous owner kept that tube because that's how he set the choke. After running it for 5 minutes when it's warm, try holding the choke fully open with a paper clip or piece of wire and see what happens. All this trouble your having could be just because of a faulty choke. What model Q jet does it have on it?
  11. If flames are shooting out your carb, check your wires for the correct firing order. You may have inadvertently switched a couple of wires when you took out the plugs. That's all i can think of for now unless you skipped a tooth on the timing chain which is doubtful but probable. Hope it helps.
  12. That's not as bad as the time we went camping and tried to put out an out of control fire with kerosene. Burned down our tents and had to sleep out in the open that night.
  13. Ditto what TonyD said. From what heard and read this thing actually pollutes more and will destroy your engine. Thanks to companies like Archer Daniels Midland supermaket to the world, they want to use corn for any use. Thanks to them we use corn syrup instead of real sugar for soda except in Dublin Texas where sugar is still used with the Dr. Pepper.
  14. I know what you mean, i've had to wash and detail both cars charge the battery on my Trans Am, rake up leaves, cut the lawn because the grass is still green, then sat down for awhile on my patio watched squirells eating pecans while i enjoyed a cool refreshing drink because i broke a sweat.
  15. It's either the switch or you might have hooked it up wrong. Recheck your connections again to the switch.
  16. What dsommer said, $1500 neighborhood sounds about right.
  17. Ya' know i feel sorry for the kid too but the main question the jury should be asking is who was watching the kid to begin with.
  18. Your employees have other names for you. LOL!!
  19. Been working fine for me.
  20. Brazil?? What are they gonna do? Stop singing "Girl from Ipanema". Ban us from seeing new thong designs?
