I think the guys at GM are laughing their arses off for when the show bombs and not giving liscencing for one of their vehicles.I was a fan back in the day,but they lost all cred for the choice of the Rustang over the Firechicken.

Mine is about an inch from the bushing/sidewall of the bushing channel, just like the schematic in the catalog, and isn't connected to anything. Is it a safety precaution if the steering rack slides from side to side?I'm going to leave it right where it is,it's just making me scratch my head wondering what the heck it does!

Best way to clean metal surface without using air
BWRex replied to zeeboost's topic in Body Kits & Paint
Although it still may be loud,a good shop vac with a good filter works well for the inital first clean and the crevises. It won't blow everything around as much, just keep the filter clean.Pour a small amount of water in the bottom of the vac to collect some of the dust before in gets blown out of the exaust end.Another loud method that dosen't use the compressor is a leafblower.Works good for blowing out the entire garage and just about everything in it.Floor,shelving,toolbox,Z,etc. -
Nice job.Thought I'd share mine as well.I used Rust bullet after cleaning the welds, and after the cage is installed,a uniform coat of 3M seam sealer.

Try a heat gun w/ a fairly sharp chisel, and acetone for the remaider of the residue.Worked good for me.Wear a respirator, and have fun, because taking that stuff off rubs.

section shocks w/ lowering springs
BWRex replied to Xylemer's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
If you're thinking about sectioning, new springs, struts,TIG welding the sections back together, etc, which is a small project in itself, you might as well save up a couple extra bucks and install the coilovers. From adjustability to larger range of tire/wheel combinations, sectioning and not installing coilovers seems redundant,IMO of course.I second that point on searching suspension/strut thread FAQ,and researching, and researching....
