  3. Looks great! I would agree with Drax. Have you tried to search over on classiczcars.com as they are more specific to what you are asking? *EDIT* just found you started a thread over there already. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35623&highlight=appraisal
  4. What's next a custom tag Phil? *cough*SUBLIME*cough* Very inspiring....
  5. Well, now that the rules have changed 3 months ago as Drax stated anything you did prior to the rule change (posting in classified section) is no longer allowed until you have 40 posts. Keep in mind, posting in Non Tech Forum and replying in Classified Forum does not add to your post count. Go ahead and when you have free time contribute to this site and you’ll have 23 posts in no time. Sorry it’s the law of the hybridz land.
  6. After couple of hours on Sunday and a few hours this week after work, the entire SDS EM-4 6F harness was been rebuilt with new Weather Pack terminal pins, connectors and Raychem DR-25 Heat Shrink Tubing. I also installed StreetWires Firewall Bushing using the old a/c refrigerant line holes under the battery tray. I am getting very excited I am very close!! StreetWires Firewall Bushing mocked up on the firewall StreetWires Firewall Bushing and A/C hole plug. StreetWires Firewall Bushings ready to install in the Z Sliding the Raychem heat shrink tube on the last harness All laid out for a picture before it goes in the Z this weekend
  7. Lesson I learned from this: ~Always carry a functional spare tire. ~Leave the fix-a-hole-through-your-window crap on the shelf at the store. It could of been worse, it could of happened while driving.
  8. Mike, I have the perfect project for the newly acquired track car and this LS1. Kill 2 birds with one stone. http://www.gearztv.com/projects/banshee.html http://www.monstermiata.com/
  9. can someone post a work friendly pic in a message body?
  10. I ordered and received the Weatherpack crimpers, removal tool and connectors from HiPo Parts Garage back in July. Let me tell you when you have the right tools it makes the job so much easier. I also picked up a nice set of jeweler flat head screw drivers from Radio Shack. As of last weekend I am 80% done with the EFI harness. I had to order another 60 feet of the Raychem DR-25 Heat Shrink Tubing 3/8" and the best place and price I found is Prowire Motorsport Electrics I used them before and they are great to deal with. I was running low on the 3/8", so I jumped on the O2 sensor and finished mounting that. All the parts should be in before the weekend so I can keep moving forward. I'll have updated pics after this coming weekend. Getting there:
  11. This is for you Paul (BRAPP) My friend's shop http://www.tempestracing.net just did the intercooler upgrade. The car will be coming back for other upgrades you can read in the thread. Not bad for a guy who started building bad ass Honda's, he has lots of skill. He will be doing my Z's turbo piping and exhaust to say the least. http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2616104
  12. Good job man, hard work does pay off. Remember work to live not live to work.
  13. Here is my experience: I graduated high school, couldn’t afford college, wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with my life, living in small town at the time. So I started looking at all of the military branches and I chose the USAF. I am a 10 year veteran; I have traveled the world and met some life long friends and unforgettable experiences. I opted for the GI Bill figuring I would take some classes here and there but the best part is you have 10 years to use it after you separate or retire. If you take classes through the military bases usually many local community and state colleges have representatives on base you don’t have to pay nothing out of pocket. I would read up further because some things may have changed. http://www.gibill.com/ You can pick whatever career field you want to go into and get it in writing but it will come down to where the shortages of bodies are like psdenno mentioned. If you don’t mind flying for long hours, being away from family, friends, significant other for 3 months to 1 year, taking direction and follow orders then the military in general is for you. It will teach you respect, responsibility and give you a better “in†or stepping stone if you decide not to reenlist. For example, if you decide to go into government as a civil servant you can carry your military time over towards your retirement. I have thought about UTI or WYO Tech but with today’s economy, even college grads are running into not having a decent paying job, or a job in what they studied for after graduation. Some are getting lucky and “know someone†fortunately at least the USAF or any military branch will never have layoffs unless you do something stupid and get kicked out. My advice is to you my friend is meet with ALL the recruiters, hear what they have to say and most important DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING until you have thought long and hard about it and talked to family and friends. Once you have decided the recruiter will set you up an appointment to take the ASVAB. Study for the ASVAB, there are tons of prep books out there, your score will depend on what job you will have. Psdenno is right the USAF is the most relaxed service out of the rest of the branches, they are up to date with amenities and the latest technology and don’t let other recruiters tells you any different Chair Force yada yada we ALL play an important part of the puzzle in peace and war fighting time. All recruiters have a quota so they will tell you anything to have you sign, DO NOT FEEL PRESSURED, you will not ruin there day if you walk out with only a brochure. If you want to get hounded go ahead and give them your contact information, I would avoid that until the end and if a branch of service is not for you thank the recruiter and move on. It’s tough, take your time and come prepared with lots of questions. Remember there are no gas stations at 35,000 feet. Good luck, keep us posted and PM me offline if you need anything. I have friends in all branches that can talk to you if need be.

  15. Did anyone see this Horsepower TV Episode last weekend? It was a re-run from June 6, 2009 original air date. I thought it was pretty cool yet different. http://www.spike.com/full-episode/460-payoff-ls1-carb/32439 I guess this is for the guys that don't want to go through the hassle of converting their ride to EFI? Has anyone done this, just curious if your numbers matched what the Horsepower TV guys received?
