  1. I may be interested in one of your taillight setups. I want to convert my 260 back to the 240 taillights so I would need the taillights and all of the body pieces that go around them. Let me know if you would like to sell some of those taillights. I bought my Z after it sat for 5 years under a pine tree and at a lowpoint in the driveway so water sat under the car...and there were easter eggs under the car. In November...lol
  2. I know I can because my camera is a 5 megapixel camera and if I posted full resolution pictures DSL would have a hard time loading it. I downgrade every picture's resolution as well as size. I am still figuring out this camera since I just got it at christmas...and it has soo many options but it is the size of a credit card and half an inch thick. Plus my garage makes it hard to take pictures with the door closed during the day. The video was brightened a significant amount in editing even though I had every light in the garage on.
  3. I am now doing videos and just put the first one up on my worklog here...hope you don't mind me using your technique...Your videos are soo cool.
  4. I think someone should make buckets that are filled in. Like the front of the reaction research 940z fronts. That would be cool and I would buy a pair.
  5. Ok call me a Mull wannabe but here is my first video...lol not great but not too bad for a digital camera... Video Hosting - Upload Video - Photo Sharing My brother edited the video for me on this one. Thanks... Hopefully he will do more without charging me...lol
  6. just got my illuminas and dry assembled the left rear suspension. on the living room floor... dry mocked up the nut is hand tightened without the spacer. I am going to slap some of my rustoleum on the bare metal places... the top hat is a bit loose but I think it will be fine sitting inside the top hat that will center it. I basically did what was in Brian's garage with this sorta cheapo coilover setup. But if it works! I am pleased...

    new here

you get headwork done by BRAAP (A member here) of Rusch motorsports. He does AWESOME work. you could do the SC but it would be pricey. you would be best getting a turbo block (f54) from a 81-83 and a p90 head and going from there. I plan on building a SC Z motor one day...I have some ideas bopping around my head right now for how to do things and if I could make a kit to sell...Don't plan on it being soon though...lol
  8. my fg headlight bucket is thin and light. It was made in 1986 and I forget the company name. I'll check when I get back home.
  9. I think my Z has a very good sound like an exotic italian car...jus a little more rumbly. I have a header, 2.5 exhaust and a turbo muffler at the back. I really like the sound of the Z but if it could sound a little more refined that would be sweet. It definitely sounds like a beast gong down the road playing with the redline like it was a suggested slowing point rather than an exploding point...My Z has topped out the stock tach once or twice...I need a rev limiter so 8k+ doesn't happen any more.
  10. I am selling my 14"x6.5" eagle 5 point star wheels for $125 with tires if you want them +shiping. 3 tires need to be replaced with about 20% tread remaining and 1 tire is brand new. They could be cleaned up a bit and look really nice. the tires on it are 215/60 r14 tires and have a really smooth ride. you can see them on the first few photos of my worklog. I have cleaned them up since those pics and can get some good shine out of them but not like new. * Pusher*... I have always liked your Z...but it must be a pain to steer in parking lots with that crazy low amount of backspace...the only problem with those scl wheels from diamond is that they don't come in 4X4.5 lugs...I guess you could have them put a regular center in the thinner shell.
  11. and get some gold 400 spoke wheels...no...not good
  12. That was probably really expensive on a bike...Imagine the price tag if you were to do it on a Z! Lots of surface area to cover.
  13. you can see where the jamacians (jamican food store) next door where I work (mom-n-pop type pizza place) left bashes in my fender 2in. and 10in. from the door right below the side crease about 4-6in. They don't really care about other's cars. Other workers have had the same J-rash as me... making progress here is the paint when it is still wet after the second coat. I just started painting over black cause I did not want to deal with pulling off the black rustoleum. I am still going to pull off all of the original paint and bondo. here it is...in it's entireity(is that even a word?)...well the suspension is to the left and the axles and sway bar are to the right and most of the wheels are stacked out of the picture.
  14. I really like that side scoop on that silver Z! The front is a little strange though.
  15. My Illuminas get here tomorrow and my Spec stage 2+ clutch and Spec aluminium flywheel come this weekend. I am so excited about this stuff coming so now I just need to have some friends come over to help me put it all back togehter. I CAN do it by myself but it won't be much fun.
  16. hmm...don't know if I can help with that but I bet that color would be sweet on a two-tone black cherry upper black lower Z...mmm yummy
  17. yeah my early 260 has one original steel bucket and a replacement fiberglass one. The car had smacked something pretty hard on the front left corner and dented the whole side of the car. I am sanding off all of the paint to bare metal so I am finding all of these dents that could have been pushed out.
  18. or just bolt some earlier 4x4 calipers on. I got high performance shoes and the solid rotor 4x4 calipers and crossdrilled/slotted rotors (doh!)
  19. they have a rollbar for it but that is extra.
  20. well I got the diff back in with the fresh bushings last night. The dash's mounting tabs are off slightly so I am going to have to cut them off and weld on new ones. Welding Aluminium is really hard.
  21. umm...(WOW)...what is going on that there arelots of people doing open exhausts and crazy big turbos? time to do that to a Z...
  22. ok I destroyed my old mustache bar bushings in favor of my polyurethane ones.
  23. yep...the clamp where the rubber filler neck clamps onto the metal tube may be loose or be dirty. On my Z there are like 7 lines coming out of the tank and are a pain to hookup with a small clamp. Mine pulled out once and so when I filled up with gas it overflowed onto the ground.
