  4. upon check in some of my bookmarks there seams to be some discrepency. Some show all Z31 to have 3.7s some show Z31 to have 3.54s also. However I have never pulled anything but a 3.7 out of the 50 or so Z31s that I have had.
  5. If you want to include the date you ran the time that is fine but I dont think a BEST OF's list needs the date it happened. Just need the raw data to know who stands where. Also updated the first post!

  7. Wanna know how awsome this one is to drive around town?? lol. Rated at 512ft/lbs I think. However the syncros do love it. Shifts are much faster and more smooth into each gear!
  8. No worrys...I changed it up some.
  9. Junkyard motor that was rebuilt. Thats how I got it out of the junkyard. Dont remember the overbore. maybe .020. ARP head studs. Torqued to either 70 or 75 ft/lbs. dont recall. Only 6-7 miles since the head was resurfaced. Head was put back on and driven straight to the dyno. They have a few hundred miles on them or so but they looked really good when we checked compression once the motor developed a missfire.

  12. After viewng the "fastest street driven" thread I really think us L guys should have our own little show off thread. So many people over look these little beastly motors and the potential they have. I am thinking set up a list of the fasted L-powered Z cars. You may be asked to prove you times with both a scan of your timeslip AND a link to a video of the pass. 11.50s and faster require proof. Example....   13. I would start with checking the timming. Set it to spec via the FSM. Then I would check fuel preasure under load. Maybe replace the fuel filter. Then if none of that solves the problem start looking at the AFM and all of the electrical connections on the motor. These cars are getting old and build alot of heat under that hood. Make sure all of the grounds are 100% also.

  17. Use the current pos+ to trigger the relay. Run the constaint 12v directly from the battery, place fuse at the battery. Ground near the pump. Make sure all of your connections are 100%!!!
  18. You need to tune them per the FSM. Also the Unisync is not for tuning but for balancing the two carbs. Also this should be in air fuel delivery I would think....
  19. Run a dedicated relay and fuse on the positive side. Yes, you need 20 amps.

  22. They always offer you less money because some people will just take it. If the body shop wants $2700 accept no less than That plus your time to deal with the body shop, your transportation costs to and from the shop. You have to convince them that your time is valuable. Good chance you could get quite a bit more.
  23. Never said it was the gaskets fault. Pretty sure this is what I said....
