  1. HA!! I told you that would work. He got the intercooler setup off of my car. Its a 24x12 core. Should be a bit over 31" overall. End tanks face straight back.
  2. FYI - same guy driving both the z and gtr. But I was thinking the same thing, lol.
  3. Is there some way or place to find out what spring rate is on my car now? I have no idea what coilovers are on my car and was thinking about just getting a new set from MM or GC but I have no idea what spring rates I should be looking at. Thanks!
  4. Those are both Greg Scott's cars. Good friend of mine used to work at his Z shop in Cali. Scott Performance. The DEMO Z is a 2.9 (non stroker). Belive it made right at 310whp all motor. Motor was built around '94 and has never been opened other than for valve ajustments.
  5. Thats why I was hoping for pics after the explosion, lol.
  6. Yeah, XXR 503. A bit wider spokes and they arn't the diameter all the way across the spokes.
  7. Yeah, what are yours? Yours look like 15s also. running 16x8 on all 4.
  8. With beginers that typicaly try to avoid extra costs such as a window switch or even just run a dry shot I would have to say yes. Nitrous being on of the cheapest ways to obtain power tends draws out the crowd that likes to cut corners. I bought a used wet kit to put on my car. Well never did and we ended up puting it on a friends kouki z31 turbo. Well he had a habit of touching the revlimiter before shifting sometimes. He just got his motor put back together last week. With proper instalation and use nitrous can be used very safely and very often with no ill results. Just inject a wet shot before the throttle body or even better a direct port kit. Nitrous has been around for like what, 60+ years at least. If it were better to spray before the turbo that is what everyone would be doing.
  9. mine is still availible and its setup for 3" and not mad in china
  10. Please post pics of the exploded turbo and intercooler after your first n2o backfire!
  11. And exacly what kind of torque are you looking at? 'Cause I still say you wont be able to break a factory tranny. At least assuming you are truely not going to be trying to destroy it. 5th gear is the weakest on all of the trannys. As long as you keep boost moderate in 5th you will not have any problems.
  12. ^^^Pretty much what I was trying to say but I am far to lazy and not nearly as good at putting thoughts to words. Thanks Tim!
  13. FYI - the gear you run in will have no effect on hp/tq numbers. Just like if you running a 3.23 vs a 4.10 diff. The dyno does the calculations of drum speed and engine rpm. (rpm)(X)=drum speed where x is the overall gear ratio, including tire size, diff and tranny. Obviously the formula is incomplete because the drum diameter is missing from the equation.
  14. would this work? http://www.houston-nissans.com/index.php?topic=120.0
  15. Your LD will NOT break factory r200 or the half shafts*. As far as the tranny, opnly think that would worry me would be the early 5th gear. *as long as everything is in good shape ie. not worn out.
  16. Got a HX-50 for sale.....$250obo and is GREAT cond!
  17. I know this will get the shed but I thugh at least a few would get a laugh:biggrin:
  18. I would not be wasting any cash or time in rebuilding the bottom end. You will likely just trash it anyway in the tuning proccess. And if you think you are doing yourself a favor with a 10:1 compression on a turbo motor you have alot to learn.
  19. Ummm, all that to say a recirc is better than a bov? I think most people already know that, but thanks for the write up on why its better.
  20. I dont have a AFM. I use a MAP. Dont know, it just doesn't.
  21. Well It was not ment to be a debate but I realised the image I posted never showed up so there is some confusion. My specific question is which of the below gaskest would provide the best coolant flow through the head. This is with an N42 bock and P90 head.
