  1. What I also thought would be hella cool to do one day. Running a GM TBI setup with mega squirt. This could be dome much cheaper than the stuff I linked above. However megasquirt is far from just plug and play. I want to do this setup one day with the classic TurboToms kit. Ditch the carb and go GM TBI. Complete tunabilty on a sweet classic setup! Believe us!!!!!!!! When we go off telling someone to search. Its not only for our benifet or because it has been covered a hundred times before. But it while searching you get an understanding of all the options that are around and what each one offers you. So please, go do some seaarching in the megasquirt, turbo and section L-series. Also fuel delivery will be a big one as will chevy V8's as they have the TBI. Good Luck!
  2. Could alway do some sort of TBI setup from chevy. Tons of setups that just bolt on where a carb would go. Very cool stuff. The fuel is mixed at initial entry into the manifold. Now, 1 & 6 MIGHT have slightly less total flow. But it is already an air/fuel mixture so there will be no damage because its not running lean. ...

  4. Well I was specificaly speaking of the factory datsun unit in the early s30 chassis.
  5. If I were you I would just do a compression check and then do the swap. I find that it is best to work the bugs out of the system before tossing a fresh motor in there for a bad injector or some other problem to tear up a fresh motor.

  10. Replace the shifter bushings. Or deal with it. Mine are wiped but it does not bother me at all. Kinda what I am planning except a 5spd will go in. I tossed this one in by mistake and I fugured screw it, I will leave it till it blows. Just keeps me from toasting another 5-spd till later lol. And here is a vid from today......
  11. Not sure what all was done to the ss but it was pretty lopey and rough idle. I was kind of asleep at the tree also. Been trying to get my launches down with the new clutch and turbo. ON/OFF clutch and a upper revs power band dont mix well. I tend to either bog or spin. Oh well, I will get it down. I had him in 3rd. But It ws a hell of a good run!! Pulled about a half car on him by 4th. Was a close race to the line but not in et's lol. I had him by nearly 0.400.
  12. Cause there are crappy. Supposed to be weak, and there is no overdrive. But they seem to be strong enough to pull 1.7 60' and still burn second gear with drag radials on 14psi lol.

  14. Pretty much just a big turbo and 60mm tb, megasquirt and a front mount. Other hp supporting mods like injectors and fuel pump. nothing special.
  15. I was talking with a buddy the other day and we were joking that I must have the fastest 4 spd z. Not because it cant handle it but becaust anyone going as fast as I am right now surely would have swaped in a 5-spd. I had a 5-spd but blew 5th gear. Now I know that I could not have the fastest 4-spd so who does? Maybe post up your fasted 1/4 mile time or dyno on a 4-spd tranny. Maybe I have some kind of record here lol!

  17. I had a better (opinion) way to do thee oil feed on mine. I will see if I can get some pics tomorrow. Gotta find the mem card for the camera. Everything looks pretty sweet though!
  18. Cylinder Head Temp Sensor = Very importaint that its connected/works properly. What year is your car? I dont remember but I dont think all 280z had the head temp sensor. Could be wrong.
  19. I spotted it! Hard to catch though. I give the movie a b+. Pretty good and enjoyable. Except for the for the part were I come out to my 03 cobra to find the one of thee tires slashed! Seriously, WTF?!? Oh well, discount tire road hazard warranty FTW.

  21. I would say use a 1/4 mile calculator. HP is HP for the most part. 200-220hp and 2200-3000Lbs.
