  1. No. Spend some time reading the EFI bible.
  2. Unplug the water temp sensor and see if the car behaves the same.
  3. Serious envy, Raff! Asked to take granddaughter's senior pics, humbly and nervously accepted...
  4. I used our handy search engine and found these... http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=136650 http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=132266 http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=125970
  5. Both of those heads are, in fact, open chamber. Go back to post #1 of this thread. Picture 1 illustrates an open chamber. Picture 5 illustrates a closed chamber. The semi-clean aluminum (near the bottom of the picture) is the quench area (If an appropriate piston is used).
  6. Justin, 10's are what I see most often (F&R). I've also used 10's exclusively on my cars. Never did the math but, before installing 8's, I'd want to make sure they didn't coil bind... 6" stroke with an 8" spring sounds like a problem. You're welcome to stop by and have a look at my car.
  7. Normally, when I list something, I do not expect to be compensated by paypal. I don't advertise as such and I don't want to be bothered with it. As a seller, paypal sucks. Paypal is buyer convenience. That's my opinion, like it or don't. If you ask if paypal is an acceptable payment method (instead of just assuming so), I might accept. I might also ask you to cover the fee's. This is called negotiations. If you don't agree with my terms, either counter, or say "no thanks". There's nothing illegal or unethical about negotiating terms. It's part of life. P.S. Petty almost always swings both way's. Funny how often people miss that part.
  8. The temp sender for the gauge has nothing to do with the temp sensor for the EFI. They are completely unrelated/independant of each other. Thread moved to Troubleshooting, and retitled.

  10. I know nothing about this car, so don't ask
  11. The step you speak of is to be found in nearly every production car ever produced. Its cheaper to manufacture and the power trade of is usually marginal. Some people will tell you that the anti-reversion qualities of "A" may offset the slight penalty in high RPM flow. Some (successful) people do it intentionally. JeffP is making well past 600 hp with, what I'm told, is about a .050" step. Hope this helps.
  12. That's why God invented match-porting...
  13. Sure I'll change it.... if you promise to stop with the run-on sentences and capitalize the word "I" PM me with your new name request.
  14. For those of you wondering where bananas come from, here's a hint...

Of course... I find this after the other thread I've installed a couple... http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=119783 http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=117607 Both cars runing DIS with 6 LSX Coils Yes, I like it. Its a good value, in my opinion. If you search this forum, you'll find the above and a fair bit more If it were me, I'd buy a new harness from Wolf. It has an internal MAP. You can also run an external MAP. Below are a couple of old brochure's. There were two models, a Base and a Plus. Base Model... Plus Model....
  16. I guess we were all in a generous mood... even you I had to re-read that a couple times... I see what you're getting at now. My statement was poorly written. A better way to say it... "No crank trigger alone will allow sequential injection (or sequential multi-coil ignition).". As you said, a crank trigger will suffice for wasted spark, but you'll need a cam reference to fire the coils individually. Sorry for the confusion. Ahhh... well there is a catch. Assuming you're fueling a 6 cylinder, V4 is only capable of semi-sequential. As I mentioned, fully sequential requires one channel per cylinder. The base model V4 came with 4 injection channels, and 4 ignition channels. So, wasted spark and semi sequential it best you can do. The Plus model V4 came with two additional ignition channels. The Plus would allow sequential ignition if you're into that stuff (Note: V500 comes with 8 of each).
  17. No crank trigger alone will allow sequential injection (or multi-coil ignition). There must be a cam reference of some type. Your not far off. It is somewhat dependent on the package as a whole, but overall, the differences are usually subtle, not groundbreaking. Keep in mind, most sequential systems will also allow you to trim each cylinder independently. Depending on the application/use, this could be quite substantial (mainly with very high specific output). Only if its capable. You need a channel for each cylinder. What EMS are you using? I think there is some slightly flawed logic in their presentation. I'll read it a little more closely when I get a chance.
  18. rockauto.com claims they can get 'em. Dorman Part# W96878 and W96879, $32 each.
