The only thing that killed me on the stock benz motor, was the EFI and the trans.

Alright, with the overwhelming amount of parts I have for z31's and VG's I decided, that my next motor is going to be a vg33et with a nice t4 or gt40 turbo, intercooler, wastegate, pop off valve, nistune...etc motor complete is $303 from picknpull with a 6 month warranty, the trans i already have and I'll just have my driveshaft shortened! :flamedevi:burnout:

desert truck and auto in coachella has a few complete 5.3 lm7's that are going for $500 as complete long blocks with all the little odds and ends.

He also has an entire built engine to go with that head as well, as 17psi of boost.

Well here's and intro to what got me into cars. I guess if i had to pin point a date, it would have started when i was abut 4-5 years old, my uncle had been into z cars ever since they came out and he had this black 280z that I took a ride in and loved it every minute of riding in that car. He rolled it and scrapped it about a year after that and never touched a z car since. all during my child hood, some way or another I was fiddling with some sort of motor or electronics, or taking something apart and (sometimes) putting it back together. I remember my uncle Chris, used to bring parts home from work, when my Aunt was watching me and let me take them apart. early in my teens I got involved with R/C cars and electronics, about when i was 14-15 I bought my first z car, a 81 280zx, that needed alot of love, a few months later I bought my first s30, a 72 240z roller that was in line for the crusher, with the intentions of dropping the motor from my s130 into the s30, I came to the conclusion that it was too much project for me and sold it. All while i drove my faithful little 95 z32 around, until it met its fate with the front end of a ford. Fast forward about 5 years and a ton of z cars and I'm stuck with my dead 92 z32 and my 73 s30, both of which are bipolar at the moment, because they can't decide which motor they want...

I never thought it could be so hard to choose a new motor. What i actually mean to say, is that i never actually thought this guy would be serious about buying it. to tell you the truth, I actually don't want a small block in my z, for the specific reason of, just being able to take the car out and going for a random cruise to wherever, like what i used to do in my other z's. Kind of funny, now that i think about it, how much cruising and listening to music can clear out your head and calm you down. I guess, its time to start a vg33et project...

check craigslist, theirs a couple for sale in the OC and SD when i was surfing the sites last night.

I think the actual price was around $8k or so. What i would want from them, would be molds, blueprints and specs.

Alright, got my turn signals and hazard wiring figured out, Gonna finish it tomorrow and maybe, might even be able to put the air dam back on!!

Let me know what parts you need, I have heads, cam's valve train, tranny's, blocks, hardware...etc (no complete motors)

Have you checked the fuel and ignition maps on decel? what is your A/F's on decel with the car in gear? is it dying when you rev up the motor, or when you are driving and push in the clutch?

jack it up, have someone hold one tire, while you spin the other and watch the driveshaft, if it spins and the other tire isnt moving, then you have an open diff. doing a burnout isnt a good way to identify if you have an LSD.

Sounds like you need to go through every inch of wiring going to/from the relay board. Have you tested your injectors? is it possible where you soldered the wiring harness to the injector clips that it came loose?
