  1. Sorry man, for some unknown reason I thought your were having the same problem as socorob. My apologies.
  2. Well there is your problem, I used to bleed mine every 3 to 6 months depending on mileage in order to stop it from sticking.
  3. Keith, The problem you describe sounds like a slave cylinder. I had this problem with my Corvette several times. It feels like the clutch is engaged but your foot is not on the clutch pedal. I took the car to GM since it was under warranty twice for the same issue, they claim is debris entering the hydraulics and replaced all of my hydraulics everytime. Makes no sense to me how debris can enter a clsoes system but that's what I was told. Others say it is the fluid being cooked and breaking down since my headers were really close to the clutch hydraulics. I just started bleding the system when I had the problem and it would go away without having to replace anything. As for clutch I'm using the McLeod RST twin disk. It is supposed to be very street friewndly and holds pleanty of power for my application. TheZguy just sold his barely used RXT twin disk for a good price, too bad you did not snag that one. He said that clutch worked great.
  4. Got it, makes sense, the LS3 pump is shorter than the LS1 pump. If clearance is not his concern I would send that LS3 pump back and get and LS1 pump. My LS3 motor has all LS1 accessories and they line up perfectly without any issues.
  5. Why not use all LS1 accessories including the water pump and alternator and be done with it. No spacers needed.
  6. Thanks guys, they were kind of expensive. I could have bought new aftermarket gauges for the price of restoring these but I always liked the S30 dash and gauges and wanted to keep the original ones. Chroming the plactic was a PITA. Post some pics of your lights when you get done please, would love to see them.
  7. Just got my front hubs back from powder coating this morning. Fitted new bearings and seals as well as ARP studs then mounted the Arizona Z 13" front rotor. That thing is massive compared to the stock one.
  8. I will just post it here in case someone else may need it, hope that's ok. APT Instruments 952-881-7095. They specialize in restoring all kinds of gauges and clocks. I had them do mine with a white face and orange needles. It's all hand painted and the wrokmanship its outstanding. Here are pictures of how mine turned out.
  9. If it does not work out let me know and I can give you the info of where I had all my factory gauges restored including the clock.
  10. Thanks Mike, At least we are now making progress. Just got my calipers back from being custom painted. I did not care for the black calipers.
  11. Call me when you get a chance and I will tell you somethings we found in my supposed to ready engine bay. I'm glad you are at least driving the car. I'm hoping to be there with you later this year.
  12. Yes it looked like a big turn out. I will go to the next one. I guess it's not on the 1st Saturday of the month anymore right? By the way the silver looks a lot better than camo.
  13. That's cool man. I did not realize they are doing Coffee and Cars again. I thought it was done for good at the Vintage due to all the Fast and Retarded that just can't stop reving their motors or doing burn outs for no reason at all like high school kids.
  14. LOL, I have to break it in first though. Thanks for the offer man any help is always appreciated.
  15. That's a good deal, crazy story....lol Nothing on Craigslist surprises me anymore though..
  16. While my car is getting the royal treatment at this new body shop I decided to upgrade the fuel delivery to my motor. Changed all fuel rail fittings from AN6 to AN8 as well as the crossover line. Also fitted an oil catch can as well as tied in all 4 steam vents on the heads, I will have to connect them directly to the highest point in the radiator. Darn braided lines and fittings are starting to add up.
  17. I need one of the brakets that holds the rack and pinion in place.
  18. I wanted to make TX2K15 but I wast stuck in Denver on business. LOL I would have gave you a hard time as well. How come you did not take your car? LOL, I will make sure I never have lasic in Alabama just in case.
  19. Yes sir, the bad thing is 3 years and the paint work is still not done. That's what has been the deal with mine, It just sat for months without anything being done. I'm just glad I decided to take it somehwere else. In the last week there has been more progress than the previous 6 months.
  20. LOL... Actually that's not my jack, the picture was taken at the body shop that is re-doing my engine bay. Chrome floor jack, ummmmm you may have something there though. Thanks for the compliment, I can't wait to start putting it together.
  21. Thanks to thezguy for letting me use his wheels to see how they would fit on my car. It looks like I may be able to get 12” wide wheels in the back but have to go to 8” in the front. The rear ones in this picture are 11” and I still have some more room left. The fronts are 9.5” and stick out 1.5” past my fender.
