  1. well, actually costco is 101/tire with $60 rebate that you don't have to mail in - they apply it right there. $387 is with california's waste disposal fees and tax
  2. Right now Costco has a $60 discount deal on these through July 1st (last day to order) when you buy 4 bfgoodrich tires. I was quotes $387 for 4 225/50/zr16 g-force sport tires last night on the sportmax 002 wheels, and that's mounted and balanced. Giving a heads up, and wondering if anyone has has experience with these (so this isn't a duplicate thread that I posted without searching ) these are $85/piece from tirerack.com, which puts it at roughly $430 mounted/balanced/shipped

  5. non-z related: i have a mosin nagant 91/30 rifle that i messed up tapping for a scope. nothing bad or deadly, but I need 2 holes in the receiver barrel filled using a tig welder on low. The idea is to put a piece of copper behind hte hole so it fills evenly and doesn't cause issues for loading rounds into the chamber. Anyone in the bay area that can do this for me? Should take all of about 3-5 minutes to fill 2 10-32 size holes? Also, if you have a drill press, it'd be even more awesome Thanks guys! -alex

  8. where'd you find 93 octane in california?
  9. This belongs in the drivetrain section of the forums: 1. only 87.5-89 model years 2. false 3. and 4.10. true. 4. true.
  10. this came to me in the shower this morning... don't ask why. sportmax 002 16x8 have 4x100 and 4x114.3 bolt pattern and are 0 offset. So, if one was to purchase Ross's 4x100/4x114.3 adapters with +40 offset.... that's 1.57" extra spacing that can be attained to push the wheel out to fill the ZG flare. This will probably also allow to run 245 series tires (possibly 255) with stock suspension Food for thought.

  12. She was in her early 50's, but she looked incredible for her age. She asked me if I'd ever done a threesome with a mother and daughter. I hadn't. Did I want to? Of course I did. So after a few drinks, we go back to her place. After we walk through the front door, she goes to the foot of the stairs and yells, "Hey, Mom, you still awake?"

  17. When a newbie joins the forum just for the group buy thread, doesn't read ANY of it, not a single f'ing word, and I get a PM like this: Because clearly, I'm also selling the tires to go with them, and mounting them too. Would it be in bad taste then to rip someone off for $400 + cost of tires? I mean, as much as I hate scam artists, at some point do I not deserve vindication as a result of direct stupidity? FYI, I get PMs like this at least once a week because it's to some it's easier to write a PM which I have to open, read, and convulse from pain to my brain; rather than read a couple of paragraphs. Whoever said stupidity should be painful is right, except the pain is going to the wrong party.
  18. not a jetboat though. the motor's an l20. there's a guy that shows up to ZONC with the boat
  19. first, turn it and see if it builds compression. your compression should be between 95-105 psi, if memory serves. Those 1.1L motors are pretty reliable in NA form, although they only make 100hp. Mazda no longer sells 12a rotor and side housings, so parts are getting scarce. Most common issue with it not starting is it was flooded before. A trick to rotaries is once you get it fired up, it needs to run for about 5 minutes before the next shutoff, otherwise it gets flooded, and the methods of getting fuel out are... not fun. For the project, a best solution is something like this. This belongs to setzep (Cam), who's been of great help to me (from rx7club.com). Long story short, this is almost identical setup to my rotary going into the Z. Same motor (13b-re), mitsu turbo that's very close in specs to my garrett, and on 9-10 psi boost, peaking at 14. (i'll be running 11-12). Same exact fuel setup, same fuel regulator and fuel pump. That's rwhp.
  20. if you're having issues, DavyZ has a complete 73 240z pedal assembly that we pulled from our parts car he can sell you
