Just Keep in Mind Horsepower Comes with a price if you have 800+ horsepower the engine wont last very long. And seriously it probally wouldnt be to great on the street either. Unless your making a drag 350z i never think youll need that much horsepower
Yeah In California it would be crazy to run without atleast the blower. So far your setup sounds pretty nice. So what are you planning for suspension Bigger Swaybars? New Struts?
With your turbo its definetly going to hit hard when you come on boost. It should be a great feeling.
What about gauges are you just going to stay stock or go with autolite or a digital setup
Although its not near the back there are a few holes underneath the Radio that might be unfilled. Also the shift boot is always good to replace if you have that smell. Im talking about the inner shift boot btw
Check your Timing and if its off reset it to stock Measurments.
Some other things that could cause it Broken Valves,Incorrect spark plug wire placement,

Congrats, My Z was my first car it was quite easily the most horrible experience ive ever had with cars becuase i had to swap the entire motor.

This is just me but by the sounds of the setup you want i would just look into having it rebuilt or go with a z32 tranny

Possibly,Keep in Mind that VW's Tend to be very light so if you had say swapped in anything over 300 horses you have yourself one badass little machine
