  1. My friend has side pipes out his Z on both sides, its not my taste. Heres a photo of his side pips. It will burn the leg of whoever gets out of the car and doesn't remember the pipes are there...
  2. It took me awhile to get my 70 Z registered only because I got it as a gift and the person before me never finished the registration correctly. The v needed to inspect the vin number in 3 different spots one of which will be be under the hood. If the DMV doesn't do it then you have to either call chp or your local pd to fill out your paperwork to take back. So since its an out of state vehicle your r33 is going to be a no no in all eyes since you might need to get it inspected since its out of state. But I will say the part of the paper work that got messed up on my car which I never filled out was a stupid l28 smog info sticker on the hood. Apparently a sticker was more important then the vin and the build date which was attach to the actual car. Good luck getting it registered, hope it goes smoother for you then me. After you done registering it you can put your r33 back in.
  3. Good stuff! I'll be looking forward to putting my L24 back together with some triples. That 260z is going to fly!
  4. Would you still have to prime the fuel lines if there's a fuel sending unit and a mechanicle fuel pump? I know i switched out my fuel filter and never ha that issue. Pump was never switched when I had the car up and running before the strip down.
  5. Which wildwood calipers do they use and what does the bracket look like to attach to the S30's? I emailed them and wildwood and came up with either an i don't know or no answer. Any info and/or pic would help.
  6. The car should start and run even with the carbs not synced up. Wouldn't run that well though.
  7. The su's are supposed to have some oil for the piston to move up and down in the carb. Maybe that's what's causing it? Is the float level correct? Check to make sure your floats also don't have fuel sitting in them. Is your spark strong, weak, look normal to you? Did you try the cold start spray yet to see if it starts and dies? If it does then you def have a fuel issue.
  8. Is the air box on or off when your trying to start it? Try starting it with it off and if it does the carbs may need adjusting. Did you try using cold start spray?

  10. Ii have the passenger door just about done. Just need to finish the top portion then I can get onto the driver side door. I made a video today on how I'm stripping the paint off the entire car, same method all around, I'll take some pics and also create a how too thread a little later, hopefully this weekend. Went and checked on my he's at the shop and it's still waiting to be blasted with the valves. I meant to go get some c02 Ar mix today since I got out of work early, but I wanted to start sanding the paint and attack the rust spots today, which I got a fair amount done, not as much as I wanted since I didnt have any charged batteries for my drill to use a 3m pad. Oh well I have three days off this weekend, maybe I can finish another door and get onto the rust in the cabin.
  11. Did you have any issues after the alternator upgrade using the AMP gauge in the Dash? I was thinking of doing the upgrade but I saw one online and it said it will no longer work after the upgrade.

  13. I never really thought of it actually, I think I might do that. I made a video update of the build its taking its sweet time to load on youtube right now, so I'll pot it up as soon as I can. It was getting late so I'll make a how to n what im doing and also take pictures and such tomorrow. I saved all my interior so I can hopefully get my wife to get some sewing down with my ideal interior. I have 0 experience!!! I've never really worked on a car except my daily when it breaks down like today lol. I watched a lot of rebuild shows, I look up stuff online, and a friend tells me whats next. We'll see how she turns out, Im not looking for show quality, but I want it done right the first time so I never have to worry again. Besides if she does become show quality I won't mind I have taken a brake on the carbon fiber making since I really need to concentrate on finishing up the body work and paint since thats the worst thing in the entire world lol, but I will make a thread and once I have it set I'll try to offer it and see whos interested. I woun't mind making a little extra on the side and maybe I can offer it cheaper then what I've been seeing it online, and I know that a lot of people with RB build would love to save a little extra weight
  14. I thought the cranks were already counter balanced? I read that somewhere, I'll have to search where I read that.

  16. I just bought myself the lincoln 140 hd Pak from home depot, it was 525, I've never welded before and I was going to either try today on a extra piece of fire wall metal today. I'm not going to be doing anything to the Z before I'm good at it and I pick up some c25
  17. DONE! Now I just have to learn, even came with a How too video! I'll practice on a piece of extra meta laying around from the firewall I had, i'll have to get the gas and tank later next week though.

  19. Can you take a picture of what the car looks like now? I need one part off of the driver side, I'll post a pic in a little bit since I don't know what it's called. It's right behind the driver side fender though.
